Shredded Cheddar Cheese and Sour Creamoptional, for serving
Instructions
Add oil, beef, onion and garlic to a large dutch oven and heat over medium high heat. Stirring frequently, heat until beef is browned an onion is tender. Drain grease and return meat to pan if necessary.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, broth, beans and spices and mix well.
Heat over high heat until boiling. Once mixture boils, reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer, covered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Serve chili topped with shredded cheese and sour cream if desired.
