Shelter in place is our new norm for the foreseeable future. First, shelter in place was expected to last two weeks. Then, projections were early April. Now, we're hearing that we may have to remain indoors until early May. It varies depending on which newscast you watch and at which hour, but I personally think we will be stuck in quarantine in Miami until the summer. Whatever the time frame, I think we can all agree that it's going to be quite a while before we're all gathering together again. Which means that my birthday will NOT be spent in Barcelona, as planned.

Which means that I've lost that $800 investment...as it's being refunded as an airline credit, not a refund to my credit card. FABULOUS. So not only can I not celebrate my birthday, but I've lost $800 until a time when I can afford to go again...and I was traveling with a friend. MOTHER EFFER. I HATE IT HERE. 2020 SUCKS.
