There's been a ton of hype lately regarding the XFINITY X1 system. We've all seen the commercials touting their speed, reliability, and uber technology. It's not all smoke and mirrors! The XFINITY X1 System offers technological advancements for everyone. That includes those that have disabilities such as impaired vision or blindness.
The XFINITY X1 System - 1 System for Everyone
By now, we all know that the XFINITY X1 system offers high technology. Their system includes the cloud with 1 full terabyte of storage as well as the ability to download shows and movies from the cloud anywhere you have WiFi service. Their technology extends beyond that, though. Comcast knows that television is a universal source of entertainment, so they made it universally accessible as well.
The XFINITY X1 system has the industry's first talking guide, video description, accessible mobile apps, and even a voice remote and large button remotes, which are offered to vision impaired customers at no extra cost.
This is the technology that really excites me. I don't have vision issues, and I'm so grateful for it. I can't imagine not being able to watch my favorite movies or shows. That's been the case for so many people with vision impairment or blindness for so long. Not anymore. Comcast has brought television to everyone, even people who can't see it with their eyes. Thanks to the technology of the XFINITY X1 system, vision impaired people can see the television with their minds, and I think that's pretty cool.
Recently, Comcast brought the real world value of their technology for the vision impaired and blind to the rest of us. In their new ad, Emily's OZ, Comcast used the technology of their XFINITY X1 system to help 7 year old Emily "watch" the Wizard of Oz in a way she never could before. Taking the input they received from Emily's mind's version of what it saw, Comcast put together a new set for The Wizard of Oz based on her description of the movie. It's amazing, and I highly recommend you give it a look.
In addition to the video, you can go here to get a behind the scenes look at the commercial and see how Comcast used the XFINITY X1 system to help us all see what the vision impaired and blind can see in their mind's eye when they have the technology to "watch" television.
The XFINITY X1 System Make EVERYONE'S Life Easier
I'm a big fan of the XFINITY X1 system because of all the bells and whistles it offers. Its mobile accessibility, storage, and quality are second to none. I'm so excited that people suffering from vision impairment and blindness can now experience TV in a more full way than ever before. Everyone deserves a movie night or a favorite series, and thanks to the technology of the XFINITY X1 system, EVERYONE can. Go Comcast!
