It can be very difficult to be a mom to a teenage daughter.

Over the last few months, I've been talking about U by Kotex Tween products with you guys, and sharing some of my experiences with my own teenage daughter and I hope it has helped you prepare for the teenage years!

While we have had many period talks prior to my participating in this #KotexMom campaign, it was a great way for us to address a few things, like what type of pad to use during different stages of your period and how to be prepared for when you get your period during school and away from home!

Even with the awkwardness of a mom and teenage daughter trying to talk about menstrual cycles, PMS and all of the physical symptoms of both, I found it was a lot easier thanks to the U by Kotex Hello Period website!

On the Hello Period website, both moms and their tween and teen daughters can find great information! Girls can browse through questions and answers about periods and moms can find helpful tips on ways to approach the topic with this daughters. There is also a great resource on how to choose the right U by Kotex Tween products, which have been specially designed for young girls!

We both liked the U by Kotex Tween pads and pantyliners, I think the colorful designs on the packaging make them a little less awkward to carry around - which is fantastic for tween and teen girls just beginning to deal with carrying around feminine hygiene products!

As Angeline gets older, we will continue to spend time together and talk about issues like these. It is so important to spend quality bonding time with your little girls - even when they aren't so little anymore.

We had a lovely lunch together last weekend, but being a teen...Angeline refused to let me take a photo with her.

    Le Sigh.

Now that we have the period stuff under control, it's time to start working on the "I hate having you take my picture" thing!

I wrote this review while participating in a Brand Ambassador Campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of U by Kotex Tween and received products to facilitate my post and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate. #KotexMom

This is a great post, and a so needed one. Many moms feel a little fearful when speaking about there daughter period. I have informed my daughter so many time. I feel its better to be prepared then not too. Great information!

I love how colorful they are. Puts a cute twist on something so "embarrassing"

It really is a difficult topic at first, after a while it gets better. I'm glad we learned about tween products prior to needing them.

What is it with teens and pictures? They can take plenty on their own, but when you want them to snap one they scowl and breathe fire. I think it's great Kotex is making it easier to talk about and carry hygiene products.
