Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Preheat a grill and cook chicken, on both sides, until no longer pink the the center.
Turn off the grill and add 4 quarters of cheese to each chicken breast. Let stand to melt.
Top the roll with chicken, a dollop of marinara, grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
Spread 1 tablespoon pesto on the top roll and place to make a sandwich.
Serves 4, 1 sandwich each.
