Lime Poke Cake Recipe


  • 1 box white cake mix and ingredients to make cake (egg, oil and water)
  • 1 small package. 3.4 oz lime gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 small container 8 oz, whipped topping, thawed


  1. Bake cake according to package directions and let cool completely. Use a spoon handle to poke holes in the cake, about 1" apart.
  2. Mix boiling water and gelatin together until dissolved completely, about 2 minutes. Gently pour onto the top of the cake, making sure it fills the holes. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  3. Remove from the refrigerator and spread whipped topping on top. Slice and serve immediately or refrigerate, covered until ready to serve.
