Would you try Microdermabrasion at home?

There are certain things that are a little different in Miami than they are in other parts of the country…

Take plastic surgery as an example – it’s not only completely socially acceptable in Miami to have cosmetic plastic surgery done, it is almost expected.

I came across this flyer for a local plastic surgeon’s office last week – who was advertising back to school specials…for cosmetic procedures.

I personally have not had a real interest in having any serious cosmetic surgery done. Firstly, most cosmetic surgery procedures are so incredibly expensive that I would have to choose between the procedure or…a bathroom renovation. Really, it’s that expensive! I’ve heard about people flying down to Colombia for inexpensive plastic surgery, but really? That seems like an awfully big risk for an unnecessary procedure!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I think that everyone should just grow old gracefully. I’m terrified of botox because I’ve heard about so many people having negative reactions to it, but I’d love to try something easy and non-invasive, like microderm abrasion. I think that trying microdermabrasion at home, would be my best bet – something that I could do in the privacy of my own home.

I believe in looking and feeling your best, and agree that the advances in modern technology and science are making it easier and easier for people, especially moms, to accomplish that!

My daughter is in high school now and I am starting to feel a little old…I’m only 34 and don’t think that I should have to look any older than I feel!

Have you ever had a small cosmetic procedure done? Do you use at-home beauty treatments?

Plastic surgery isn’t common here at all. I personally hate the look of botox and I wish we could teach our girls to be happy with their bodies rather than treat them to boob jobs as graduation gifts. However, if it were free…I would totally get a tummy tuck, lol.

Oh plastic surgery is more common than not in Miami…especially for people living on the beach. It’s like it’s required! I like the concept of microdermabrasion because it’s essentially just a super exfoliating scrub. LOL

I’d try microdermabrasion, but at home? Not sure.

I haven’t had any professional treatments done other than facials, electroshock therapy and chemical peels. That’s pretty much all I feel comfortable with at this point. That’s not saying I won’t do anything else though, in the future.

I’m not against plastic surgery though I’ve never had any or even the microdermabrasion. I would love to have a “lift” of sorts if you know what I mean LOL.

I’m currently in between sessions for laser hair removal, but that’s the closest I’ve come to anything cosmetic. I think microderm at home is fine.

I’d love some plastic surgery if it was in the budget. LOL!

I have been researching non surgical cosmetic surgery and haven’t come across anything until now! Thanks for sharing this post, as the more I read the more I know about what there is on offer!
