Working in Bed Never Felt So Good...

Sometimes I joke around about working from bed, but the truth is, I do it all the time! My nightstand is like a mini office, complete with a planner, tablet and chargers. I normally get up around 7 am and go through my email and schedule out tweets for the day while still in bed, and often finish up last minute work in bed in the evenings while I catch up on recorded shows. Truth be told, I'd love to make my bed my full time office, but I get a lot more accomplished with a designated office space. When I sit down at my desk, I am able to completely concentrate on work.

We spend half of our lives in bed, either asleep or just lounging. While our mattresses are the most important part of our bed, sheets, pillows and blankets really need to be comfortable and cozy to enjoy a good night's sleep. I enjoy looking forward to getting into bed at night - not just for work, but to relax and unwind before I go to sleep. Bedding is one of the areas where I spend the most money in our house because who quality really counts when you're spending so much time there!

I recently received a complimentary silk duvet from Novosbed.com in exchange for my candid review. I have never used a duvet before, as I am a comforter and quilt kinda girl. I'm such a dork that I didn't even realize that you needed to buy duvet covers - I assumed it was like a bed spread! ha! It was pretty fun buying a duvet cover, and used the opportunity to pick out a design that was totally different than I am used to to jazz up the bedroom. I've been wanting to redecorate our bedroom for some time - but of course, there is never enough time in the day...we ripped out the carpet a while ago and installed wood laminate flooring, and it made such a difference in the room that we got lazy. So for now, a new duvet cover, pillow top mattress cover and new pillows gave me a mini bedroom makeover without having to worry about paint and new fixtures. It was just enough to tide me over until we have time to paint and replace baseboards and things like that.

    Duvet

The silk duvet from Novosbed.com starts at $199 and is made of 100% Mulberry silk. The silk is hypoallergenic and great for those with allergies to feathers & down comforters but who want the luxury of a natural fiber filling.  The Mulberry Silk Duvet has a 300-thread count and a quilted pattern, which protects the silk filling from shifting or bunching. I love this feature, as we have had to throw out comforters and quilts in the past because the batting started bunching up and becoming detached from the fabric.

The Mulberry Silk Duvet is compatible with standard size duvet covers, and I love how it's not very thick. It's lightweight because silk is a natural insulator, so a lot of filling isn't necessary. Since Mulberry silk fibers naturally repel dust mites and bugs, you can rest easy knowing that there's nothing icky inside your duvet! Silk also has a natural moisture wicking property, so if you're a sweaty sleeper like my husband, you'll be happy to know that you'll be nice and dry under a Novosbed duvet! Silk is hypo-allegenic, so it's safe for those with allergies to feathers and down comforters.

The Novosbed Mulberry Silk Duvet is Available in:

    • Twin: 68″ x 90″ (172 x 228cm)
    • Full/Queen: 90″ x 90″ (228 x 228cm)
    • King: 104″ x 90″ (264 x 228cm)

    New Duvet

You can find out more about the Novosbed Comforter here!

Novosbed.com also offers pillows that come with a zero-risk guarantee and are comparable to Tempur-Pedic quality memory foam pillows without the super expensive price tag. Novosbed.com also has free two-way shipping and a 3-year warranty for mattresses!

    Available Novosbed Pillows:

http://www.novosbed.com/product/opus/ $139 – perfect for side, stomach, and back sleepers!

    http://www.novosbed.com/product/adagio/ $149 – great for side-sleepers!

Novosbed Contour Pillow $109 – great for all sleeping positions!

    Novosbed Mulberry Silk Duvet

I was also sent three new Lc Luxury Pillows - one for each of us! These Lc Luxury pillows with DACRON Foam Essence fiberfill, available exclusively at Anna's Linens, which are pretty easy to find in most large cities.

The DACRON polyester fill with SMARTfill™ memory technology helps you sleep better by continually adjusting to your preferred sleeping position. The pillows are super soft too! I received the Dream Essence pillows and I couldn't be happier, they are soft and squishy, but aren't so soft that they fall flat after I lay my head on them. They give just the right amount of support without being too "firm."

You can discover more info on DACRON products, fiber technologies and the importance of sleep on the new DACRON brand web site,  http://dacron.com/en-na/index.shtml.

HA! I got new sheets for Christmas last year and I posted a photo of them on social media saying "New Office Furniture", not even thinking...um....this could totally be taken out of context.

If only I could stay in bed and work today! That looks super comfortable.

That bedding looks amazing - no wonder you work from bed! I'm not focused enough to work like that.

I love to lounge around in bed. Having a fantastic duvet cover makes such a huge difference. Here's to hoping that I can work more from bed in the future!

I feel you sister! Now, if only my boss would let me do it more, then I would certainly wear out my awesome beddings!

Even though I would think it would be great to work in bed, in actuality, I can't even watch TV in bed. But I sure would like to have some extra time spent sleeping in bed. That duvet looks beautiful and comfy!

I can definitely relate to your situation, like you I always wanted to stay ay my bed for most of the time. It’s the most comfortable and relaxing place you could ever be. That bed looks so resilient, I can only imagine how soothing it is to lie down on that bed. I can’t wait to try it and see for myself. Thanks for sharing!

I am a total bed linen snob. The refrigerator can be on the fritz, the car battery could be dead, and the soles could be falling off my only pair of shoes but I will buy 100% all natural high thread count linens. lol. That looks magnificent..

Duvets are my absolute favorite because you can wash them so much easier than standard comforters. I love the pattern of the style you received!

I find working in bed both cozy and extremely uncomfortable. My elbows hurt, my arms go numb, I can't feel my fingers eventually...
And I don't know if I can do anything about that.
