Wordless Wednesday: Feeding Seagulls

Chris and I have something in common, despite how very different we are…we both love animals.

I don’t know why we got such a kick out of the flock of seagulls that were hanging around the Carnival Liberty on our last day at sea last month, but it was so much fun to watch Chris feed them his popcorn from the balcony of our stateroom!

I’ve never fed the seagulls on a cruise but love to at the beach. I know you’re not supposed to at the beach, but I can never resist.

And you didn’t get mobbed by them? Brave move. LOL

What a great picture. That’s one thing I miss on the Disney ships, you can only get popcorn in bags, no fresh stuff on board there 🙁

I would never do this because I am afraid of birds. Really. 🙂

They say you are not supposed to but I also threw a few chips out for the seagulls from our balcony. You throw one chip out and all of a sudden you have 20 birds.

What a neat looking photo, but whatever you do, don’t feed them at the beach!!

I’m afraid of seagulls. I remember being on a field trip in the third grade and a seagull came and swooped a sandwich right out of my classmates hand. I would totally freak if that happened to me.

What a cool experience, how many people can say they’ve fed seagulls from a cruise ship?!

I love that! My husband always gets mad at me because I stop to feed every animal I see.

We live about a mile from the ocean. As a party trick, I will wait outside until I see a seagull fly overhead and throw a piece of bread on the roof. It’s amazing how good their vision is and how they communicate. In a few minutes I can have our roof covered with noisy, exited seagulls. It’s fun even when you live near the ocean.
