I love to travel and I am always looking for my next great adventure. My best friend and I used to travel together quite often and she mentioned that she really wanted to go to Wyoming sometime next year. I realized that I have never been to Wyoming and I actually knew very little about the state! How much do you know about the grand state of Wyoming? I sat down and put my Google skills to use to find out what Wyoming has to offer and I found a few fun facts!
Yellowstone was the first official national Park, established in 1872 - and the majority of the park lies within the boundaries of Wyoming!
Wyoming has the smallest population of all the states in America, yet it was the first state to give women the right to vote!
Wyoming is also a premier destination for winter travel, with majestic landscapes that are made even more beautiful during the winter when they are covered in snow. There are so many things to do in Wyoming during the winter, and while skiing and snowboarding are a great way to get the adrenaline pumping in Wyoming, that's just the beginning of the fun!
Things to Do in Wyoming
Wyoming is home to five hot springs, which are all open year-round and open to the public!
Try your hand at ice fishing!
Explore Jackson Hole's Museums and Historical Sites! Jackson Hole was settled by traders and trappers in the 1800s and has a well preserved history for you to discover!
Love wildlife? Put on your furry boots and head out to Yellowstone National Park, the National Elk Refuge or Grand Teton National Park to watch elk, bison and otters in their natural habitat. Check out the Wyoming Office of Tourism to find out more about all of the outdoor activities Wyoming has to offer you this winter!

Still thinking about the snowboarding?
The chance to ski, snowboard, and snowmobile in some of the most incredible trails and steepest mountains attract locals and tourists, as well as professionals like pro-snowboarder Travis Rice. Travis is a Wyoming native, born in Jackson Hole and he's the best big mountain snowboarder the world has ever seen! Travis and his production company, Brain Farm, want to share their love of Wyoming and have captured amazing footage of gorgeous Wyoming lands. He also designed - in collaboration with Tim Tomkinson - his own Wyoming themed Lib Tech snowboards to shred mountains and allow other snowboarders to do the same.
It is said that worries and troubles melt-away with the sharp turn of skis or boarding through a freshly snow powdered glade.
You can get your chance to enjoy this fantastic experience in the Roam with Rice Sweepstakes. The Grand Prize is a trip for 2 to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and two Wyoming Travis Rice Lib Tech Edition autographed snowboards.
The 2nd prize - which will be awarded to ten winners - is one of Wyoming Travis Rice Lib Tech Edition autographed snowboards!
For more information and the official rules head over to Roam with Rice Sweepstakes.
How would you #RoamFree during #WinterinWyoming?

I traveled all over the area when I was a child. I was blessed to see much of this nation already, and I'd love to head back out west and see it again!
