This is a sponsored post on behalf of Turbana Corporation.

I know that we have all seen those "charitable" campaigns floating around Facebook with people asking for donations for people in need. It feels like everyone is asking for help with a personal cause lately, and it seems that these personal pleas for help are overshadowing the established charitable organizations out there: causes that are near and dear to our hearts and have the possibility to do real good on a wide scale. Turbana knows how important charitable organizations are, and they want to help YOU make a difference for a charity that you support.

You can win $25K for your cause through Turbana’s 25K For Your Cause contest on Facebook!

Turbana Corporation is a leading importer of tropical produce in North America, and giving back is not a new concept to them! Turbana was the first organization to bring Fair Trade Certified bananas to the United States, and they are known as leaders in sustainability and social consciousness.

Turbana’s social movement Growing Smiles, Sharing Goodness is encouraging communities to speak up and choose causes that personally matter to them through the 25K For Your Cause initiative.

    Turbana 25K for Your Cause

The special thing about Turbana's Win 25K for Your Cause Facebook contest is that YOU get to choose who Turbana works with! Now through August 11, 2014, just visit the Turbana Facebook Page and nominate your cause and then vote for which cause you think should win $25,000!

The organization that receives the most votes by August 11th will be awarded $25,000 by Turbana and they will partner with them to create new community programs!

Turbana’s Growing Smiles, Sharing Goodness movement has already helped create programs like the New Smiles for Uraba, One Laptop per Child and International Sister School Garden Exchange - among countless others!

You can nominate a cause that is near and dear to your heart or vote for an already established cause.

What cause would you like to see win $25,000?

I would give the money to a charity that helps feed the homeless. I would proudly support this company because of the great things they are doing.
