This post brought to you by Puerto Rico, The All-Star Island. All opinions are 100% mine.
Puerto Rico is one of those places that you just must visit in your lifetime. Why? Well, it's a 5-star vacation destination filled with world-class attractions, friendly people, delicious food and breathtaking scenery.
We had the pleasure of visiting Puerto Rico for one day this summer and I can tell you from firsthand experience, there is really something for everyone in Puerto Rico! Whether you’re a golfer, a foodie, the adventurous type, or a beach bum, Puerto Rico has everything that you want in a nice relaxing vacation. Just hop on a plane and go!
Did you know that Puerto Rico has 270 miles of beautiful coastline? The beaches in Puerto Rico are so beautiful that they've been featured in the Top 10 beaches from Travel Channel! Flamenco Beach in Culebra has been named as one of the best beaches in the world! You can even glow in the waters of the Bioluminescent bays.
The forests in Puerto Rico are amazing. You can visit the only rainforest under the US national park service, El Yunque, and climb up into the clouds. You'll see lots of wildlife, like this adventurous iguana we saw on a drive back to the city after we went zip lining! We actually had to stop our van and allow him to cross the road.
If it's an educational angle you're after, head to San Juan! History aficionados and curious children alike can enjoy old world charm of San Juan.
If you are an adventurer, you might enjoy horseback riding or a day spent exploring the magnificent Camuy caverns that run through the third largest subterranean river in the world!
Or, you can follow in my footsteps and go ziplining!
After spending your days exploring the beaches, historical landmarks and lush forests of Puerto Rico, you'll be happy to sit down for one of my personal favorite parts of Puerto Rico...the food! Of course, the rum is pretty wonderful too!
No matter how you spend your days in Puerto Rico, you'll leave feeling that you just had a 5-star vacation!
Did you know that you don't need a Passport to visit Puerto Rico? You can get non-stop flights from many major airports, and don't need any special travel documentation; visiting Puerto Rico is like visiting another state, in my experience! Puerto Rico also uses the United States dollar and we found that most people spoke English, even these parrots we met on the way to lunch knew how to say "Hello, There!"
Puerto Rico Tourism recently partnered with everyone's travel review website, Trip Advisor, to transform real traveler 5-star reviews into stunningly beautiful short films narrated by Puerto Rican stars. Once you see these reviews, you'll want to have your own 5-star vacation in Puerto Rico!

I would love to go to Puerto Rico because I love History and I know there is a lot old history there. I also love nature and the forest and especially the rain forest. I love to see it while we still some rain forest left to visit. I think it's great that you don't need a pass port and they use American money. I can't think of a better place to visit and relax and be one with nature.
Jane
I would love to win this trip to see the beaches in PR!

The last time we went to P.V., and my first time in Mexico, we were with another couple who were frequent travelers to P.V and they took us to a small town called Yelpa. WOW! What a beautiful place, the only way you can reach the town is by boat, which pulls right up onto the beach to let you out! The people are so kind and welcoming - the beach is somewhat remote and beautiful - the food is like you are eating at a friend's home, so good and so authentic! You can hike or ride a mule up to a waterfall a bit out of town, or trek to the waterfall/cantina in town. We were only in P.V for a short time, but I would have loved to explore more of the city and the historical parts, even though we stayed downtown in old PV we were unaware of what was in San Juan - I would love to check that out!

The 270 miles of beautiful coastline and amazing beaches would have to be my favorite amenity. Sitting under an umbrella with a good book, sipping a cold beverage and taking in the gorgeous scenery is my favorite vacation activity. There's plenty of good snorkeling and diving options I would enjoy also, plus La Bestia, the "longest zipline on earth"!
