Sometimes I take for granted how lucky I am to live in Miami.
I can drive to the beach any time I want…I can even smell the ocean when I go to my best friend’s house who lives about 5 miles away.
The funny thing is, while Miami Beach and South Beach are only about 30 minutes (with traffic) away, I rarely go.
Before last week, when I attended Sear’s Art of Fashion event at the Raleigh, I hadn’t been to the beach since last year, when I took Angeline and her friends for her birthday!
When I walked onto the beach to take a few photos before the event, I realized how much I had missed it.
So, for this Wanderlust Wednesday, I am going to skip my favorite travel destinations, and the places I want to visit…and remind myself of the incredible beauty found right here in my own hometown.
Join myself and Stefanie of Mommy Musings each week as we share our favorite vacation spots – and all of the places that we dream of exploring one day.
We call it Wanderlust Wednesday. Join in and hop around!
I need to get over to the been..It’s been awhile.
Oh how gorgeous! I would love to be on that beach right now! Funny thing is we live about 30 minutes from Presque Isle State Park and we rarely go! I want to make an effort to visit the beach more often next summer, it really is beautiful there.
I wish I lived close to a beach! 🙂
It really is beautiful. Not exactly the same as Miami but we live right on Lake Michigan and we almost never go to the beach and it makes me kids crazy lol
What a cool picture and a great idea
You are lucky to live somewhere so beautiful. Right snow all we have is cold and rain. sometimes we all forget to take the time to enjoy the small things.
that looks good to me!!
What a gorgeous shot! I love the contrast of the bold colors and lighting 🙂
I love where I live… it’s beautiful. But I so wish I lived near a beach. 🙂 Great pic!
Just lovely Jenn!
Beautiful! I miss the sun.
I live in Canada and hate winter activities, so maybe it’s the same? LOL
I don’t see your picture 🙁
I live a mile from the beach and I know exactly what you mean – sometimes long stretches go by without me ever looking at the sand, lol!
Your image isn’t showing for me, but I LOVE the beach! You should enjoy it most often!
I miss the water so much – I wish I lived near water.
I wish I could travel but no money for it
My husband asks me at least once a month if we can move to Florida. If he lived there he’d be on that beach every single day.
Awwwww I miss South Beach. 🙂
