2012 is already shaping up to be a promising year in entertainment!
I recently found out about the line up of Walt Disney Studios movies that are slated to hit theaters in 2012 and I am so excited!
January 13: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 3D, also in Disney Digital 3D
I already have tickets to take my daughter and two nieces to see this! I can’t wait to see it in 3D!
February 17: THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY
March 9: JOHN CARTER, also in Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D
I love sci-fi movies! Judging by the trailer, this movie is going to be great!
April 20 (Earth Day): CHIMPANZEE (Disneynature)
Last year, I took my daughter with a friend and her son to see Lions.
It’s becoming a new tradition that we see these sweet Disney movies on Earth Day!
May 4: MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, also in 3D and IMAX 3D (Marvel Studios)
Who isn’t waiting with baited breath for The Avengers? I think my husband has May 4th marked on his calendar!
June 22: BRAVE, also in Disney Digital 3D (Disney/Pixar)
I just can’t wait for Brave to come out…I am so excited to see this movie!
My daughter is super excited too, we are both Disney Pixar fanatics!
August 15: THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN
A short synopsis: When young Timothy suddenly comes into the lives of Cindy and Jim Green, they learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts. This movie looks like it is going to be super cute!
September 14: FINDING NEMO 3D (Disney/Pixar)
Of course I have to go see Finding Nemo in 3D! Can you imagine the effects of them swimming through the jelly fish in 3D? Wowza!
October 5: FRANKENWEENIE, also in Disney Digital 3D
I have two words for you: Tim. Burton. Have you ever seen a Tim Burton movie that wasn’t complete and utter box office awesome? I didn’t know the back story to Frankenweenie, and when I brought it up during conversation with my brother in law (he is the utmost authority on all things Tim Burton, Pixar and Disney), he informed me that it was based on a short Tim Burton did in the early 80’s. Almost 30 years later, we’re finally seeing it come to fruition at the theaters…and I am psyched!!
November 12: WRECK-IT RALPH, also in Disney Digital 3D (Walt Disney Animation Studios)
This one will have to be a little bit of a surprise…I’ll fill you in later in the year!
I have never heard of brave, but i am super excited about Beauty and the beast, my daughter isnt old enough to go see it! but i wanna go for myself haha!!!
Wow, there are some really fun movies coming out this year!
I can’t wait to see John Carter.
I’m looking forward to watching Frankenweenie most of all. I adore Tim Burton’s work. His movies are wildly creative, eccentric, and obscure. I recall of watching a Frankenweenie (1984 version) movie as a child. Therefore, I can’t wait to see his version!
I’m so excited- I have plans to see at least half of those. 🙂
I’m really excited for some of these movies!
The Dark Knight Rises. The epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. Christian Bale again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Marion Cotillard, as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake.
