    Walmart Soundcheck Introduces Magic! #MagicWMSC

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Lunchbox.

Walmart's Soundcheck is working with artist-of-the-month Magic! If you're unfamiliar with the band, Magic is made up of members Nasri Atweh, Mark Pelli, Alex Tanas, and Ben Spivak, who are are Toronto natives and they've just released their debut single "Rude" from their debut album "Don't Kill the Messenger" in 2013.

    Magic!

My first listen to "Rude" had me swaying a bit in my seat and bobbing my head. Their sound reminded me of 311, a reggae fusion band I first enjoyed back in the 90s. Listening a bit further I detected a Bob Marley vibe.
I pictured myself relaxing in a hammock on a sunny day with a nice breeze.

Lead singer Nasri Atweh even mentions his bravery in trying to write a modern day Bob Marley. I also listened to Magic!'s "Let Your Hair Down". They are reminiscent of The Police which happens to be a favorite band from my childhood. This is perfect music to chill to or even to pop on while you're cleaning. It's hard to not smile with fun tunes on, even if you are washing dishes.

Songs often tell a story and you can learn more on Magic!'s inspiration by watching their video Real Talk with Magic: The Magic behind Rude. Also take a peek at their thoughts on Weird Al and an impromptu parody Real Talk with Magic: A New "Rude" Parody. I happen to think that a parody is a great form of flattery and the band members agree.

    BandMagic!

"Rude" is currently climbing the charts. I recommend checking out Walmart's Soundcheck Magic! platform to hear an intro, live versions of "Rude" and "Let Your Hair Down". There's also a fun interview where the band members describe their sound, the need for Espresso, and the reasons behind their debut album's name. I'm looking forward to hearing more from Magic! as their sounds develop and evolve.

Tweet your take on Magic! using #MagicWMSD and #WMSoundcheck and read what other Magic! enthusiasts have to say.

I don't think I caught Rude yet, so now I want to go looking for it and get on the ball (I'm just not cool anymore)

The Rude song really grew on me, especially after I saw the Youtube video of the dad that does a parody of it. It's soooo funny! And now it's stuck in my head...
