To pet or not to pet, that is the question...and in my home, the answer is almost always "TO PET." We've been talking about pets a lot the last few months, as Angeline and I rescued little Kilo in October, and then she adopted Swish in December...boy, has it been a crazy few months! When Angeline moved back home in early March, I was not prepared for her puppy, Swish, at all. I hadn't had a puppy in the house for almost a decade - as Bailey is now 10, and Toby is 9. Kilo was already 3 when we rescued him, but he had outgrown his puppy stage and came to us housebroken (except for his marking his territory every single chance he gets!). Oy vey! Puppies? Puppies are A LOT OF WORK.
Adopting a new pet, whether it be a cat or a dog, is a big decision - it is a very important decision that needs to be weighed carefully, as pets are a huge commitment. There are veterinary visits to take into account, the cost of food, supplies, and of course, the emotional and physical investment that we make into pet ownership.
As much work as involved in pet ownership, it is so worth it! I mean, look at that little face! Isn't Swish adorable?
His messes, however, were not so adorable...Of course, while we do have to put in a little elbow grease now and then when it comes to our pets, there is help to be had! No matter how big or small the pet-related mess, Swiffer and Febreze products are a pet owner’s best friend, taking care of the biggest Pet Peeves in fur-baby ownership (mess + odor) so you Don’t Sweat Your Pet! You can find them all at your neighborhood Target, and let's face it, we all spend so much time there anyway!
A few of my must-have products on hand are Swiffer Dusters Heavy Duty Pet Refills, Swiffer Sweeper Dry and Wet Pet Refills with Febreze Odor Defense that Trap + Lock, Febreze Air Heavy Duty Pet Odor Eliminator and Febreze Fabric Pet Odor Eliminator - they are all safe and effective choices for your home, and help so much with keeping pet messes under control. Not to mention, my house always smells great! There have been times when friends have said they can't believe I have so many pets, as my house never SMELLS like it!
I use Swiffer and Febreze products to dust, sweep - well, "Swiffer" - my house, as well as mop. With wood laminate flooring throughout most of the house, and tile in the office and bathroom, I absolutely need to keep the floors clean because every little particle of dust, dander and pet hair shows so easily! Even now that Angeline and Swish have moved out, I have to Swiffer the house at least every other day...
With three cats and three dogs in the house, it is imperative that I keep the house clean. If I let it go for even a day, it just becomes crazy! Keeping Swiffer and Febreze products on hand helps me keep everything under control so that not only can I focus on spending quality time with my pets, but I am never embarrassed when friends or family come by.
Happy House + Happy Pets = HAPPY JENN!
Swiffer Sweeper: A 2-in-1 hard surface sweeping and mopping tool. The dry cloth has deep ridges and grooves that conform to the surface of your floor to trap and lock dirt, dust, and hair, while the wet cloth dissolves dirt and grime and traps it away giving you an amazing clean.
Swiffer Dusters: With Dust Lock Adhesive™ and 50% more fibers than regular dusters, this amazing all-around design cleans deep into grooves to trap and lock up to 3X more dust than a feather duster.
Febreze Fabric Pet Odor Eliminator makes such a difference, and it is safe to use on any fabric surface, including bedding, furniture, drapes and even your pet bedding. I give the dog beds a quick spray a few times a week, as that seems to be where the dogs want to lay as soon as they get wet outside!
