I love to entertain and attend parties during the holiday season!

One of my favorite steps to preparing for parties is planning Unusual cocktails and drinks for my party guests! I love not only providing the liquors and mixers, but coming up with a signature holiday cocktail recipe for each occasion. I think it helps make things more festive!

Thanks to a generous amount of Kaluha in my liquor cabinet left over from a blogging retreat, this year's holiday cocktail recipe is going to be the Toasted Almond, introduced to me by a bartender friend of mine a few years ago!

    Toasted Almond Holiday Cocktail Recipe

    Ingredients

    2 oz DiSarrono Amaretto liqueur
    2 oz Kahlua coffee liqueur
2 oz Bailey's (if you want a little "lighter" drink, substitute half and half for the Bailey's)

    Directions

Shake, strain into cocktail glass rimmed w/ toasted almonds.

Helptful Tip: Chocolate syrup will facilitate in making almonds stick to the rim and compliment the flavors nicely.

If you want to turn this into more a Martini, just add 1oz vodka!

You can find more great holiday cocktail recipes on the Food Network!
