The Village Stand is an organic gourmet food market & gift shop located in Miami Shores that features local gourmet foods and adorable unique gifts. They have amazing local jams, gourmet cheeses, homemade desserts, teas, and chocolates.
Most of the vendors that they work with are from the Farmers Markets in Miami and South Florida.
The place is so adorable and fabulous. The Village Stand takes you to another world where people are friendly and the food is decadent. It is a perfect place to pick up a gift for mother’s day or for a foodie friend or co-worker.
If you cannot make it to Miami Shores, you can shop online as well. You can also sign up for high tea or a class. They have a make your own beer class coming up. Stay tuned, as I am sure that there will be many more classes coming as well.
I tried so many yummy treats at The Village Stand during the Sandwich Competition. I lost pretty badly, but I enjoyed the competition. The other bloggers at the event made some beautiful and yummy sandwiches. Some of the bloggers in attendance were Tony Guerra of Miami Food Lovers, Maria of Adventures of a Foodaholic, Karen of Miami Curated, Laine Doss, Food and Spirits Reporter of The Miami New Times, and Fatgirl Hedonist.
Check out my fashionable sandwich. The ingredients included: heirloom tomatos, onions, olive oil, manchego cheese, pickles, boar meat, and beet jam. Pregnancy makes me crave random foods.

Here are some of the delicious foods and beverages that I tried:
Galvanina Organic Italian Beverages - The pomegranate soda was very refreshing and delicious as was the cucumber water that The Village Stand made.
I used the Clawson - Bleu Stilton in my sandwich. It was amazing.
SYLTBAR finishing balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper - You can also follow Syltbar on Twitter!
Vermont Creamery - Cremont (goat/cow mix) cheese was amazingly creamy and did not have the bitterness of a normal goat cheese. I kept going back for more.
Proper sausages - you can follow Proper Sausages on Twitter.
Pascales Artisanal and Gourmet Specialty Jams, Preserves and Sauces (jams & mango hot sauce)
My favorite Pascale spread was the Red Beet Chutney. The rest were amazing as well. I filled up when I first go there on Jams with little pieces of bread!
Roc Kat Ice Cream - The ice cream was lovely and was the perfect ending to a fabulous meal. Cheesecake Gallery - you can follow Cheesecake Gallery on Twitter at @greatcheesecake. Yes, I had 2 desserts. After all, I am pregnant. The Key Lime Cheese Cake was adorable with its tiny size and just delicious.
