It can be very easy to get caught up in the fun of Christmas shopping and wrapping gifts during the Christmas season.
We spend hours scouring the internet for the best deals, the quickest shipping and the right gift.
We spend hours of our precious time in lines, waste our lunch hours running to grab that one last stocking stuffer...
I personally got a little reminder yesterday that there are things much more important than finding the perfect gift...

absolutely
we wrote similarly today. You just did it better and with God.

Love those personal reminders. We watched a bunch of bible movies on the nativity last night. Small reminder of what Christmas is really about.

That is so perfect, and sometimes we need those reminders.

So nice and simply stated. I've been trying to work through Christmas and American commercialism/etc on my blog too. Just did 2 posts in a Drawing the Line series. Where do we draw the line at Christmas? At what point is enough, ENOUGH. Personally I am feeling very convicted this year to start living more simply and giving much more radically.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

How true!

Great reminder!

Bravo! A beautiful reminder... I look forward to Christmas all year because I get to see my family. We don't have any young children around, so we've majorly downsized the gift-giving aspect. We just love being together.
