My family does a Secret Santa gift exchange each year for the adults in the family in lieu of buying a ton of gifts for everyone in the family, and we exchange those gifts the week prior to Christmas when we do our family progressive dinner party. This year, I drew one of my sisters as my Secret Santa recipient - and I knew exactly what I wanted to get her!
FAMILY GUY Volume 9 DVD arrived in stores on December 13th and I couldn't be happier - this was perfect timing to give to my sister at our party this weekend! The three-disc DVD set features 14 episodes from the eighth and ninth seasons - which I personally think are some of the funniest episodes ever!
Here is a listing of the episodes included in Family Guy Volume 9:
Disc 1:
Business Guy, Big Man on Hippocampus, Dial Meg for Murder, Extra Large Medium, Go, Stewie, Go
Disc 2:
Peter-Assment, Brian Griffin's House of Payne, April in Quahog, Brian and Stewie, Quagmire's Dad, The Splendid Source,
Disc 3:
And Then There Were Fewer (Extended Episode), Excellence in Broadcasting, Welcome Back, Carter
There are also lots of deleted scenes, an episode of The Cleveland Show, The Making of “And Then There Were Fewer”, The History of the World — According to Family Guy, Family Guy at Comic-Con 2010, uncensored footage, 3 featurettes, and lots of fun commentary on select episodes.
Family Guy Volume 9 is available on a three-disc DVD set and is perfectly priced for the holiday gift-giving season with a MRSP of $29.99 - that fits into pretty much every budget, even if it is just a gift for yourself! My husband and I both love Family Guy and have been watching since it first played on Fox (you know, before they cancelled it and then realized what a mistake they made and brought it back?) and we love popping in a DVD from one of our box sets on rainy Saturday afternoons and just laughing ourselves silly!
While I received a media sample to facilitate this review, all opinions are my own. Family Guy rules!
