Have you ever heard of a wine brand that creates music specifically to be enjoyed with their wine? This is a real thing, and it is happening with Cambria Wines in their Notes of Cambria series!

We’ve all heard of pairing specific wines with certain food but pairing it with music is an entirely new concept. But first, let’s talk about the wine and food pairings. Traditional rules of wine state that red wine pairs best with reds and sweets such as red meats, red sauces, and sweets. This is a traditional dinner wine. Meanwhile, white wine pairs well with cream based dishes, oil dishes, vegetables, poultry, and fish.

What’s important to remember is that these days the rules should be treated more as guidelines. Feel free to experiment, mix it up and try something new. While I find pairing the correct wine with the correct food is important, time of day is important too.

What better way to enjoy the Cambria’s Benchbreak Chardonnay than ON THE BEACH? Or a swanky hotel pool – lovely wines and lovely views go hand in hand, if you ask me! Of course, I am one of those that prefers to drink lighter, white and sparkling wines during the daytime because it’s so hot in Miami, and these wines are so refreshing!

But a nice Cambria’s Benchbreak Pinot Noir is perfect for late afternoon and evening, when you’re all winding down over a delicious meal and getting ready to hit the town for a night of girl time and dancing!

Cambria’s Benchbreak Chardonnay and Benchbreak Pinot Noir are estate grown and bottled, high quality, immensely flavorful wines that are expressive of California’s Santa Maria Valley, the wine-growing region where they’re from.

Pairing food with music takes the essence of these rules and the spirit of wines flavor profile to create an experience.  These musical pairings are a brand new approach to experiencing, learning, and talking about wine. Whether enjoyed alone or with a friend, exploration and conversation is encouraged.

I love the bright and lively tones of the Benchbreak Chardonnay and just reinforces that it would be perfect for time spent enjoying the pool.

The banjo in this song is surprising and yet perfect, it adds a depth and sultriness to the music common of red wines.

Nothing like a relaxing evening with a bottle of wine and some amazing music. Or perhaps a picnic at our favorite spot in the mountains.

Both of these varieties sound delicious! I certainly agree that savoring wine should be a full body experience and love the idea of adding music to the mix.

Nothing goes with wine quite as well as a relaxing evening with some great music. You throw in a little cheese and crackers and you’re set!

I agree, nothing like a great tasting bottle of wine and some nice soft music. Just this past weekend my husband and I enjoyed a nice bottle with our iPod at a picnic, it was so relaxing and fun!

Wow, what fantastic tips. I’m super ignorant when it comes to pairings so this was a really interesting article to read.
