I received a complimentary stay at Global Resort Homes in Kissimmee in exchange for my honest review.
As often as I have been to the Kissimmee and Orlando area, I have never stayed in a vacation home! Can you believe it? When Chris and I began planning our couples' weekend to Kissimmee to visit Epcot with his friends from work, it was like a light bulb went off in my head: we should stay at a vacation home in Kissimmee! So of course, being the travel-savvy gal that I am, I called up Global Resort Homes. So many of my friends have stayed at Global Resorts vacation homes in Kissimmee during travels with their family that I knew I had to give them a try too!
We booked the a lovely home in Windsor Hills, just a few blocks off the main strip. Global Resort Homes are just a few minutes away from Walt Disney World, so they were in the perfect location for us while visiting Epcot. Of course, they are just a short drive away from Universal Orlando too - so keep them in mind whether you plan on spending time in Kissimmee OR Orlando!
Most of Chris's friends from work joined us for this trip, so a vacation home was the best bet for us to maximize our time together during the short trip. As soon as we arrived, everyone was pretty excited to see our digs for the weekend!
There was even a pool and Jacuzzi in the back patio! Unfortunately, we were too busy at Epcot to actually USE the pool and Jacuzzi, but I am going to make sure that I take advantage of the opportunity the next time I visit!
They were even heated, so you can take a dip even in chilly weather. And don't worry about the kids running around on the back patio - there is a full sized fence around the pool. We just took it down for our photos.
What I loved most about staying in a vacation home was that our party was together all the time.
Unlike staying in separate hotel rooms, we felt like we were really together, with two large livings room to hang out in in the mornings before we left for the park, and a huge kitchen and dining room to share our meals together. We made grocery store run on Friday night and bought snacks and stuff to make breakfast in the mornings - with a full kitchen, you really don't need to spend money on eating out if you don't want to!
With separate bedrooms upstairs, it was super easy to get away for a little quiet time if we didn't feel like socializing, but the downstairs common area was a great way to hang out together without any calling up each other to find out where we were.
The home we stayed in was a 6 bedroom 4 bath and 2,812 sq feet! It sleeps 12 comfortably, with 3 king bedrooms, 1 queen bedroom, and 2 twin bedrooms. Everything is fully furnished and decorated, so it feels like a true home away from home, not a stuffy hotel room.
I loved the clean, classic decor - this beach themed twin bedroom was so pretty and serene!
Of course, because Chris and I led the trip, we called dibs on the corner master bedroom with a king size bed.
Our home had both a formal dining room and a breakfast nook - both of which were used during our short stay! On our first night in Kissimmee, we went to Outback, but the wait was over an hour long, so we ordered take out and took it back to the house to eat. We had plenty of room and it was much quieter than a noisy restaurant on a Friday night!
Right outside that breakfast nook was the patio, with quite the view in the morning...
Aside from having plenty of room for us all, a fully functional kitchen, a full sized washer and dryer (so you can do your laundry before heading home!), we also had a game room with a pool table, a table hockey game and a dart board! When we got home after being in Epcot all day on our second day there, we were way too tired to go out and do something.
We ended up having a great time with a few beers in the game room! This game room is especially beneficial if you have teenagers that want their own space away from mom and dad while on family vacation. You can send them in there to have fun and get a little privacy too!
Of course, this isn't the only house available from Global Resort Homes! Global Resort Homes has over 300 vacation homes in the Kissimmee Orlando area, ranging from these large family homes to even condos for smaller groups. Having been in business for over 20 years, Global Resort Homes knows what they are doing - and their lovely properties and stellar customer service prove it!
You can even get help from Global Resort Homes with rental cars, theme park tickets (remember, they're only minutes away from Walt Disney World, and a short drive to Universal Orlando and SeaWorld), personal chefs, and grocery delivery!

Wow what a gorgeous place to stay while on vacation. Whenever we stay at hotels, I always feel kind of self conscious about being surrounded by so many other families. We try to visit the pool really early or really late to avoid the crowds, etc. It would be really nice to rent a vacation home because I think it would feel more like our own space where we could really fully relax.

Wow! I have stayed in resorts but this looks so inviting! It looks like you guys really enjoyed your stay and who wouldn't in those accommodations?!

I'm going to take this as a sign that we need to stay here during our next trip - last night I was browsing their website! We used to live in Celebration, so the idea of staying in a hotel isn't very appealing - a vacation home is just what we're looking for.

Of course you should get dips on the master suite! That's one of the perks of organizing the trip. A 2800+ square feet home vs. a rinky dink hotel room? I think I'll go with your suggestion!

Beautiful! A vacation house seems like the way to go when vacationing with family. I hope we can visit Kissimmee someday and will keep Global Resorts in mind!

I would love to go here!!!

Oh I am so going to have to check this out - we are a family of 7 and have quickly outgrown a hotel when we go to Orlando!

That home is unbelievable! I would have stayed there in the pool and missed EPCOT lol. What a spectacular view!!

This is truly an amazing place to stay, relax, and have fun. The photos are extremely helpful as well to portray how beautiful the place is. I hope that I can get there during my next vacation. 🙂

We have always loved staying on property when we visit Disney but with three little ones now it becomes more complicated. A vacation home looks perfect for us as we will have extra room and not have to worry about the kids making too much noise (among the other benefits!)
