Mother's Day is coming, and as with most holidays, we moms, daughters, sisters, etc - we are all busy preparing for the festivities! The funny thing about Mother's Day is that this is a day that is supposed to CELEBRATE US...yet we often end up doing all of the work! Today I am sharing a really fun and simple recipe that you can either make yourself or hand off to your significant other - or even the kids! - so that you can be pampered on Mother's Day while the people in your life don't have to stress out with complicated recipes or trying to arrange for a Mother's Day brunch on one of the busiest Sundays of the year. This Southern Style Breakfast Sausage Sliders Recipe featuring Johnsonville Breakfast Sausage Patties is a spin on one of my personal favorites: biscuits and gravy.
Johnsonville® Fully Cooked Original Recipe or Turkey Breakfast Sausage Patties are always a great breakfast option because hello, they're precooked! All you have to do is warm them up, either in the microwave or in a skillet, and they only take 30 seconds per patty in the microwave, so kids can easily make their own breakfast on those busy mornings when everyone has to pitch in to get the day started!
I love their size, they are absolutely perfect for making breakfast sandwiches!
This Southern Style Breakfast Sausage Sliders Recipe uses just three ingredients - can you get any simpler than that? If you want to make a homemade sausage gravy and biscuits from scratch, feel free...but I am all about the shortcuts in the kitchen! Who has time to mix dough for biscuits or slave over a hot stove, stirring gravy? Not I!
