Did Someone Say Oreo Mint Ice Cream at Carvel?

One of my favorite indulgences is soft serve ice cream, and until recently, I've been stuck with only vanilla and chocolate to choose from at the local ice cream shops...that is, until Carvel introduced their new seasonal flavor, Carvel Mint Soft Serve! Being the soft serve fanatic that I am, I promptly said yes when I was asked to head over to my local Carvel to give their new Mint ice cream offerings a try. I received a gift card to try out the new Mint flavors at Carvel - including Oreo with Mint ice cream, Mint Soft Serve and the Oreo Mint Sundae Dasher, and when I arrived, I was excited to see the Oreo Mint ice cream right in front of the store!

So, as I walked into the store, I was the only person there (it was around 11 am on a weekday, so that came as no surprise). I normally Ninja Cam when I am taking photos for a blog post, but seeing as I was the only person there, the Carvel employee was super friendly and talkative and was extremely attentive. So much so that as soon as I snapped this pic, she started asking why I was taking pictures, did I work for the corporate office, was I a secret shopper - you get the picture.

I told her I wanted a photo for my Foursquare check-in, which was true! But then I felt so guilty that I didn't want to take any more photos. Ah, the complicated life of a blogger...

I wanted to try the new Oreo Mint Soft Serve, but their machine was being cleaned. I settled for the Oreo Mint Ice Cream and headed to the car to eat - and take photos! - so that I didn't have to explain WHY I was taking selfies with ice cream. We've all been there, right?

It was delicious! Like all Carvel Ice Cream, it was smooth and creamy, and the Oreos were nice and soft.
