Sometimes I like to pretend that I’m a fashionista. I love getting dressed up and trying to incorporate some of the current trends into my wardrobe. I am really picky when it comes to buying new clothes – even if something is “in style” I won’t make the leap unless it’s something that I feel is classic and timeless. The trend for this fall is dark romance – it’s all about lace, chiffon, and sophisticated, sexy hues like oxblood, navy and dark green. That is right up my alley, as I’ve always loved lace and chiffon! Channeling my inner fashionista, I took an online shopping trip at Sears to check out their affordable fashion trends for fall.
I bought a new skirt and three tops from the Bongo brand for mixing, matching and layering. The dark romance trend is so versatile, you can really stretch your shopping dollar with all of the Sears affordable fashion! I threw together this outfit with a pair of jeans I already owned and a new lacy Bongo tank and chiffon Bongo top. I fell in love with this top not just for the lightness of the fabric (it’s hot year-round here in Miami) but because of that gorgeous lace detail along the bottom of the top. I paired it with a Bongo lace tank because it’s see-through, and I just love the way the different lace peeks out beneath the hem!
Wouldn’t this make the perfect outfit for a night out with the girls, or a romantic outfit for date night?
I really love this Bongo lace and chiffon top, and it was only $12.99! One of my favorite things about shopping at Sears is that I can always find a great deal, and shopping for the dark romance trend was no exception!
I can wear this pretty Bongo top with jeans, layer it over a tank, throw it on with a skirt for a romantic evening look – I can even pair it with a pair of nice shorts for a daytime look!
I’m heading to Austin this weekend to visit with girlfriends, and I’m totally packing these new Bongo clothes from Sears! Whenever I visit, we go to the Four Seasons for happy hour in hopes of a celebrity sighting. It’s a bit of a dressy cocktail lounge, so I am bringing along this new Bongo outfit from Sears to wear if we go there.
Isn’t this outfit fantastic?! I bought the Bongo skirt and three Bongo tops at Sears for under $40 with shipping by taking advantage of Sears Shop Your Way Rewards deals, redeeming my points and signing up for Sears Shop Your Way Rewards MAX membership. I’m such a bargain shopper! You can check out my online shopping trip at Sears for affordable fashion in this Google+ album.
I already had the jewelry and shoes, but the skirt, lacy tank and chiffon blouse were all new – for about $30. You really can’t go wrong with an entire outfit for under $30, am I right? I love that the skirt is a more subtle version of the high-low trend.
I’m 35 and I feel that I can’t wear a lot of the really trendy styles out there right now because they’re too young for me. This skirt was a great compromise and I felt totally comfortable wearing it. Unfortunately, Angeline decided that she liked it while I was playing dress up today and has vowed to steal it from me!
It has a built in slip which is fantastic, and it’s a little shorter than the lacy part. It really makes the beautiful lace detail more noticeable.
