You'd think that since I don't work outside of the home, I have all the time in the world to do my shopping.
If only that were true!
Between the long hours I spend working on my blog, keeping the house somewhat presentable, and chasing after three dogs and three cats, I often find myself shocked that the day has gone by when it's time to pick up Angeline from school at 2:20. My days are a constant struggle to balance all of the things that I need to do. Either I get a lot of blogging work done and I am able to cook dinner, or the blog is ignored while I clean and run errands...or just blow it all off and head to the beach with a friend visiting from Minnesota.
I've begun using a lot of apps on my iPhone and iPad to help make life a little easier. I could not get through the week without my iOS calendar, where I keep a record of all of my blogging due dates, appointments and events. I use the email app on my iPhone to check emails while on the go, and social media apps to keep me connected to my followers throughout the day. I can even draft blog posts within the WordPress app on my iPad or iPhone as I wait in line for Angeline to get out of school!
As handy as all of those apps are, they can't run to the grocery store for me to pick up shampoo or toilet paper when we're running low.
Have you seen mine and Angeline's hair? We go through a lot of shampoo and conditioner, and are always running low!
Since I found out about the Walgreens mobile app a few months ago, it's become a real time saver for me! It's so easy to use, and I can even take advantage of the weekly sales at Walgreens when I am so busy that I don't have time to run to the store.
Tresemme shampoos, conditioners and styling products were on sale 3 for $10 this week, which is a deal that I just can't afford to miss! However, I've been so crazy lately that I didn't remember to grab some when I took Angeline to Walgreens to buy a Valentine's Day card last night. When I got home, I realized my error and opened up the iPad to do a little shopping!
You can check out how easy it was to shop via the Walgreens mobile app on my iPad in this #HappyHealthy Google+ story!
Some of my favorite features of the Walgreens mobile app are that you can actually use the app to present your Balance Rewards UPC when shopping in stores!
The Walgreens Balance Rewards program is built right into the iPhone and iPad app, so you can easily keep track of your Walgreens mobile app orders as well as in-store purchases using the app. You can even add a receipt if you forgot to present your Balance Rewards program when you checked out!
I especially love this because Chris never remembers to use it when he stops at Walgreens, so I can still get credit for those qualifying purchases when I see the receipt laying on the dresser!
You can browse the weekly sales flyer right in the Walgreens mobile app!
You don't have to worry about missing great deals just because you forgot to run to the store to buy a newspaper, or grab one at your local Walgreens.
You can even view the monthly special savings pamphlet via the Walgreens mobile app!
The Walgreens mobile app also carries most of the same products you can buy in local Walgreens stores.
With free 2-5 day shipping on orders $25 and over, it's much easier to take advantage of great sales at Walgreens. I love that I can just place an order through my iPhone or iPad wherever I am - even if I am out of town in a city that doesn't have a Walgreens near me!
Another fantastic feature of the Walgreens mobile app is the ability to checkout using your PayPal account instead of credit or debit card. I personally prefer to pay with PayPal whenever I shop online. I keep my blogging earnings in my PayPal account, so whatever I spend from PayPal doesn't come out of the family budget!
Do you shop via mobile apps? If so, have you tried using the Walgreens mobile app yet?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
