Did you know that Shoney’s was one of the first family casual dining restaurants in the United States?
That’s right, way back in 1947, Alex “Shoney” Schoenbaum opened the Parkette Drive-In next to his father’s bowling alley in Charleston, W.Va. Now the Nashville-based Shoney’s is a favorite family casual dining restaurant, with about 200 restaurants in 17 states across the South and Southeast! We had a Shoney’s in the neighborhood when I was a kid and I still remember going there on special occasions with the family.
The Shoney’s Homecoming coupon for a 65 cent Barq’s root beer float is Shoney’s way of saying THANKS! and welcoming in a new generation of customers!
The Coca-Cola bell soda glass has been part of the heritage of The Coca-Cola Company since 1929. I remember being served Coca Cola in these bell glasses when I was younger and felt so nostalgic when I received these!
Beginning Nov. 1 and continuing daily until November 30, 2012, participating Shoney’s restaurants will be distributing 65th anniversary Shoney’s Homecoming coupons to every dine-in breakfast guest. Customers can use the coupon with their next dine-in lunch or dinner purchase of $5.00 or more at Shoney’s to redeem the 65-cent root beer float – made with the uniquely bold taste of Barq’s Root Beer and the distinctive Coca-Cola Bell Soda Glass while supplies of the limited-edition fountain glasses last.
Want to win a set of 4 Coca Cola Bell Soda Glasses for yourself? Great, because I am giving away a few sets!!
