Did you all know that October is Energy Awareness Month? That's right, and it’s the perfect time to make that upgrade you've been thinking about to a new ENERGY STAR® energy-efficient appliance, television or computer! You can save so much on your home energy bills with energy-efficient appliances and electronics!
Of course the place to shop for your new energy-efficient appliance or electronics is at Best Buy! With over 2,300 unique ENERGY STAR certified products available in Best Buy stores and online at BestBuy.com, you can find a huge selection at great prices! Making the move to a greener home can be expensive, especially if you're starting over with an older home. When we bought our 1959-built home, we knew that one of the first things we would have to do to lower the utility costs was to invest in new appliances with energy efficiency, and the lower electric bills have definitely helped with our monthly budget over the years.
Beyond savings from simply having energy-efficient products, local utility companies provide additional ENERGY STAR Rebates that can save you up to $300. These savings can help offset the cost of purchasing a new appliance! To find all of the available rebates in your specific area, take a look at the Best Buy online rebate finder here.
The average home’s annual energy bill is $2,200 and energy-efficient products can definitely save you money. Check out how much you can save with new ENERGY STAR appliances by visiting BestBuy.com!

I finally swapped out my old water hogging toilet and shower... time to do some more work on the electric usage around here.
Kathleen
We have been looking there to swap out some of our older appliances. Have to save money any way you can, and they have some great deals!
Jenn
I know I've seen that symbol on some stuff around here. Now I'm curious what is and isn't Energy Star in our home!
Theresa
I'll have to look for those symbols on my appliances.
Amber K
I've always wondered what that symbol stood for.
Colleen
I know when my sister had to buy a new washer/dryer they made sure it had the Energy Star symbol.

I can't wait until we own! We rent and the appliances cost us more than they probably cost the owner 309485034958340 years ago!

We have a lot of the energy star in our home. From appliances to our tv, it definitely saves us money month to month.

I'll have to make sure our appliances have that symbol.

We need to replace a few of the appliances in the home we just bought. It's 26 years old and still has the original stove top, double ovens and dishwasher. I don't even want to know how much electricity those things suck up!

We bought our Energy Star LG washer & dryer from Best Buy when we bought our house!

I would love to save some money on my utility bills.

Our entire house is Energy Star efficient but I'm greedy and would like to save even more money on our (constantly high) power bill. It DOES make a difference!
Donna
Anyway we can be more energy efficient and save a little money is a good thing. Thanks for sharing this info, Jenn!
Crystal
I think we spend considerably less than the 2,200 mentioned above and our home is fairly large. All of our appliances are energy star though, so that may be why.
