This post brought to you by Zubie. All opinions are 100% mine.
Zubie is the ultimate road trip buddy! I’ve been using my Zubie key for the last eight weeks and I love that it always lets me know exactly what is going on with my car.
Whether it’s a weekend getaway with your partner or a fun family Spring Break escape, Zubie can keep you connected to your car and your crew too. This awesome always-connected wireless service monitors your engine and battery health so you can make sure your ride is ready for the road. Zubie engine alerts explain confusing error codes and help you save money with instant repair estimates too!
The Zubie is a little onboard diagnostics tool that plugs right into your car and syncs up with the Zubie app (which is free for iOS4+ and Android 2.3+). The Zubie service allows you to track and improve driving behavior and also provides you real- time information on the health of your cars systems and condition all with the easy-to-install Zubie Key and mobile app! This is actually my favorite feature of my Zubie, because my Saturn is almost eight years old and it’s getting to the point where it needs more than just the regularly scheduled maintenance.
You see all that? That, my friends, is a sign that I need to get my Saturn to the mechanic ASAP. I waited so long because I was traveling so often earlier this year that I couldn’t coordinate with the mechanic, but I just earned a Sad Engine badge for ignoring the warning for so long!
Zubie also monitors and tracks speeding, sudden acceleration, hard braking, vehicle location and more – great for families with teen drivers! I have been joking with other friends who use Zubie because while they’re earning Vacation badges, I have earned a I Heart Brakes badge because I slam on my brakes so often! I am really not a bad driver, I promise! Traffic is so crazy in Miami that I have to suddenly brake several times a day to avoid rear ending crazies that don’t know how to drive.
With Zubie, you can save money on car repairs and even prevent those dreaded breakdowns because Zubie gives you alerts whenever there is something wrong, like a low-battery.
When multiple people in your family have Zubie installed, you can skip the frantic text messages and phone calls, because Zubie also has a secure location sharing and trip coordination feature.
Best of all, Zubie is a service – not an accessory – and it uses a cellular connection to keep your car and it’s on-board system connected. It’s completely wireless, and you won’t even know it’s there!
There are even driving scores and badges that can safe driving more fun…unless you get I Heart Brakes or Sad Engine face like I did!

I’ve used a similar product in the past and it is great to be able to see potential issues with your car, especially a non-new one!
I should use this because I have an older car and I would love advance warning that I’m going to break down.
I have heard so many good things about the Zubie. I have a new teen driver, so it would be great for my family.
I’ve heard lots of good things about Zubie and would love to try it out sometime. Thanks for sharing!
What a great tool! This would be perfect for young drivers too.
HAHAHA! I am happy to say that I never earned the I Heart Brakes Badge. Girl you got a foot on ya! 🙂 Love the Zubie though. I’m always analyzing the data and seeing how much time I actually spend in the car each day! It’s crazy.
This sounds like an awesome tool! I love that it helps you keep track of maintenance.
The zubie sounds so cool. I would love to see just all of the stuff that it analyzes.
this is a very cool device. I might be scared to try in on our crap cars though LOL.
That is awesome. I would want this in my Teen’s car as well!
I have been hearing good things about the Zubie and must say I am intrigued!
I like that Zubie takes the “OMG why the check engine light on? What’s wrong?” out of the picture because it runs the codes then and there, eliminating the tiny heart attack or the need to PAY to have someone run the codes.
Having an older car, we are always afraid of breaking down or having issues, this would be great for us.
I want a Zubie… especially when my son is old enough to drive. 🙂
I can only imagine how awesome this would be for a parent of teens. Really monitor their driving.
We’ve been using Zubie too and really love it. Our vehicle is older too, so it’s great to have peace of mind.
I’ve heard a lot about the Zubie lately! This is definitely something I want to keep in mind when my oldest starts driving in just a few years!
Getting one of these is on my *must have* list before we set out on two very long road trips this summer.
I got the sad engine too 🙁
but I didn’t get the breaking scold 🙂
what a great idea! I am terrible about knowing when to get my car serviced (even though the check engine light is on…)
LOL! I love the I heart Brakes photo! We just got vacation mode and eco saver. John is on a mission to raise his score. He is up to a 94 now
This looks like a great tool! I’m thankful for my hubby who is a mechanic and fixes all our vehicles! It gets expensive to have them fixed so maintenance is a must.
We need to get one of these for our car.
I don’t so much care about the brake notices, but that engine message is a must!
I used the Progressive Snapshot once which plugs in the same & tracks your driving to see if you can qualify for a discount. I got the hard braking badge minutes after I left the house because that’s apparently the only way I brake. Needless to say I did not qualify for that discount.
I really like that! It would be really neat to see what it thinks of my driving! hehe
Between my daugther turning 15 and getting her permit next week and my hubby who never remembers to check ANYTHING when it comes to the vehicles, I think we really need a Zubie!
I would like this to see where I can improve my driving.
