Sometimes, the answer to life's problems is a couple of you closest girlfriends piling in a car and heading out of Miami. We're all recently single and desperately in need for a relaxing girls getaway, and there is no better place than Red Roof in Naples, Florida! It's a city known for its shopping, beaches and golf - so 2 out of 3 isn't bad.
6 Tips For Planning Your Next Road Trip
Be Flexible
There is a lot that can throw off road trips plans by a couple of hours of even a day. Florida is notorious for traffic jams, and I don't just mean the rush hour traffic. Here traffic jams happen at all hours of the day for a variety of reasons. Instead of trying to maintain a schedule when it's impossible just relax and go with the flow.
Road tripping with other adults is different than a family road trip with the kids. We all have different road trip styles but I think it comes down to two philosophies: those who think you should get to the destination as quickly as possible vs those who think half the joy is in the journey. When you're not on the same page about your goals for the trip it makes for some unhappy road trippers. Get on the same page before you leave and plan your trip accordingly.

I agree road tripping is much different with kids. I am currently on a road trip with our kids. They read a lot, which is good and bad... they are not bored but they miss out on scenery. Love to road trip though!

Great tips! I always plan our hotels in advance. It's good to know where you're sleeping next. The Red Roof site sounds like it makes it easy to book your next stay.

I have heard that Red Roof is also very pet friendly. One of the best trips my husband and I ever took was for our 10th anniversary. We got in the car and drove south from our house in New Jersey. No agenda - just 10 days and wherever we decided to go. We ended up getting to Ocracoke on the Outer Banks and it was a heavenly trip so I am all for spontaneity.

I love traveling with my sisters because we are all of the same travel philosophy. As long as there's wine, we're good. Red Roof sounds like it'd be the perfect setting for our next getaway.
