As you may recall, my husband bought me my first iPad2 last week for our anniversary.
Wait, let me preface this by saying that I am a completely and utterly hopeless klutz. I drop everything. A lot. All the time.
Okay, so now that my clumsiness has been established...
I brought my brand new iPad2 home on Wednesday night. It was so pretty and shiny! I turned it on, surfed the web, began installing my apps...and then my dog tried to jump on my lap.
On top of my brand new iPad2. Eek!
So I put it back in the box.
I continued to take it out, use it for a few minutes at a time and them hurriedly put it back in it's box for almost a week, because I was terrified that I was going to drop it, that the dog would scratch it, something would knock over on it...etc.
Did I ever tell you about the 1 zillion times I dropped my iPhone4? And how I had to get a new one because it stopped working? And how now I have a shock-proof $35 case on it? Yeah, that.
I tend to drop things. My iPhone4 has perfected the art of the cartwheel.
So I received a brand new, beautiful iPad2 case yesterday from M-Edge and as soon as I opened the box, I knew my iPad2 would be safe. It's thick. It's sturdy. Also? It's sexy as hell. How can something so protective be so stylish?
I really don't know how they pulled it off - it manages to be thick and sturdy but still sleek and sophisticated. I have the Latitude Jacket for iPad 2 with Theater Stand 360 from Medge's iPad2 section of their website. It is made with a black ballistic nylon exterior and a grey polar fleece interior, and it just works. It only weighs 16.8 ounces, so it's nice and light, and it measures 8.25in x 10.25in x .75in. I can just stick it in my purse and go!
One of my favorite things about the appearance is that you can't really tell it's an iPad2 case. I bought the iPad2 mainly for when I travel - it's so much easier than lugging around a laptop and since I bought the 3G capable version, I don't have to rely on wifi hot spots for connectivity while I'm out and about. This Medge case is nondescript and I don't have to worry about carrying a big sign around my head in foreign countries that says "HEY LOOK, I HAVE AN IPAD2 FOR YOU TO STEAL FROM ME."
The reason I chose the Latitude Jacket for iPad 2 with Theater Stand 360 is because it's not just a case - it has an Integrated Theater-Stand™ by ZeroChroma that turns the jacket into a stand for upright, hands-free use! The 15-click, multi-angle Theater-Stand™ adjusts from 0 to 90 degrees, and a 360 swivel feature so the stand can be used in portrait or landscape mode. Whether I am using it to blog, play games or watch movies, it will always be in the right position without me having to hold it!
With the molded mounting system that holds it securely in place, it's also very easy to snap in and out of the case, should I want to take it out! It just pops right into this plastic mount.
Another cool feature is the double closure zipper - it allows access to the charging port without having to remove the iPad 2 from the case. Super user-friendly!
I really like the Latitude Jacket from Medgestore! It runs $59.99 and it is worth every penny! If you are in the market for a new case, or just want to replace the one you have, I strongly suggest checking out their website!

I love how it has the stand and you can charge it while it's in the case. Very neat! Now if I just had an iPad...

I love it, but need the iPad! I really want one too!

The double zipper for charging is cool, but what's really got me is that it stands like that on there and it's nicely supported! I know, it doesn't make sense, but despite all the gizmos and gadgets here, we don't have cable...so I bring the iPad to bed and watch Netflix...this would be perfect!

What a nice case! I have an ipad 2, but only have the magnetic cover and I don't feel like it protects it super well. This seems like a great case with good capabilities for a reasonable price. Thanks for the great review!
