Preparing Your Home for Guests is Easy with BISSELL

This post brought to you by BISSELL Homecare, Inc.. All opinions are 100% mine.

Being prepared on cleaning our home for out-of-town visitors and overnight guests has always been sore subject for me. I lay everything out in my head but executing on the plan never goes as I had envisioned so those commercials you see of the Mom running around doing everything last minute….yeah that is typically me. While I may have a few flaws in how I execute my plans my initial idea is still pretty solid….. make a list. I tease my Mom all the time about her list making habits, they are a wee bit extreme, but they work.

List making is the best way to lay out your plans and to do’s when preparing your home for out of town guests. For your reference I created a check list that I use while preparing our home. You can download the checklist for yourself by clicking the link under the photo.Screen Shot 2013-10-05 at 1.08.29 PM

 Guest Check List

Vacuuming is such a integral part of preparing your home, whether it be for guests that are just visiting for an hour or for a few days, because you can scrub, clean to your hearts desire but if you have dog hair, spilled food, pieces of paper, dirt on the floor, etc,  your house will still look and feel dirty. So if you happen to be strapped for time when preparing your home I suggest doing the vacuuming first! Then move room by room and pick up as you go. It may not be a spring cleaning amount of clean but you will have your basics covered! Here’s some awesome cleaning tips to help you too!

If you are picky like me, getting the hard to reach spots such as under the beds, corners and above the door frames is a must. While I’m sure no one really pays attention to those areas the job just doesn’t feel complete to me without doing those spots so having the BISSELL PowerGlide with Lift-Off Technology is a HUGE lifesaver for me. I love that with the touch of a button the vacuum separates and allows you to take wherever you please and reach those difficult areas that a standard vacuum doesn’t reach.

Bissell-8Easy lift off button

Bissell-9Lightweight canister makes it easy to carry around & get all those hard to reach spots

Bissell-10Like those pesky off angled corners that I can’t seem to escape no matter where we live

Right now through 11/30/2013 you can get $20 Off plus FREE shipping on the following BISSELL products:

· PowerGlide Pet Vacuum with Lift-Off Technology : Enter code 2763

This is a great list! The only guests we ever have is my mom!

This looks like an awesome vacuum and I love the attachment for hard to reach places. I’ve added it to our list for when we need a new vacuum cleaner!

I used to have a vacuum that I loved… when it died we’ve tried replacing it twice and I still can’t find one that I love… haven’t tried a Bissell though, so that may be next on my list!

Oh my goodness, I need this vacuum in my life! I love the lift-off technology. I’m such a stickler for getting to those hard reach places – but it takes forever with the vacuum I have – I think this one with the life-off capability would save me so much time! Great post, thanks for the rec!

I have this and I love it! I also love making lists. It’s about the only way I can stay organized. 🙂

I’m a total list maker too and it has to be on paper, not the computer. I need to make some sort of cleaning one for every week. I have this vacuum, by the way, but haven’t taken it from the box yet. It just arrived!

I am so printing this list off. We haven’t had our first guests here in Texas yet, but I know this winter that family from the north are going to start migrating down 😉

This is just a great vacuum, it is awesome in a house with stairs (we have three floors, ugh, imagine carrying a heavy vacuum up and down??)
