When I was younger, we opened Christmas presents from Santa first thing in the morning on Christmas Day. The gifts were always wrapped in colorful paper - though we didn't hesitate to tear into the packages, anxious to see what was inside. I might date myself here, but I remember that magical Christmas morning during my teen years when my sisters and I opened our "family gift" and found the original Nintendo console, complete with Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. It felt like we had hit the lottery!
Even before the Nintendo, I remember other Christmas morning highlights, including Dancerina and Baby Skates. Oh, Baby Skates - as far as I was concerned, she was the bee's knees! A baby doll that skated ON HER OWN?! Don't even get me started on the teenage squeals of joy when I opened my first Sony Discman. All of these exciting gifts required batteries and fortunately, my parents remembered to include them with the presents. I have kept that in mind when giving battery-operated gifts to Angeline and my nieces and nephews throughout the years!
"Batteries Not Included" is a cute movie, but it is the worst phrase to read on a toy when there are no batteries in sight. Duracell CopperTop All-Purpose alkaline batteries are the best to keep on hand, especially during the holidays!
If your kids are anything like I was when I was little, they'll likely spend most of their winter break playing with their new toys. That can take a toll on batteries, but you'll appreciate how long-lasting these batteries are. It's likely your kids will wear out first! Gadgets and toys are the main reason for Duracell batteries during this time of year, but they are powerful enough to handle important devices like smoke detectors, remotes, and everything in between. Duracell batteries are trusted and incredibly durable, so much so that they offer a 10-year guarantee in storage with Duralock Power Preserve Technology.
CopperTop batteries are available in AA, AAA, C, D and 9V. They come in a variety of packages with the most popular being the AA 4 pack which is ideal for toys, radios, and other electronics that are used often. This pack will keep everything powered on for hours of entertainment and fun. Also popular is the AA 16 pack. Regardless of the packaging size, Duracell batteries deliver efficient and reliable power.
I'll be sure to pick up plenty of Duracell batteries for my niece and nephew, as we always gift them toys that need batteries.
You can find Duracell batteries in a variety of sizes at Walmart! How many packs of Duracell batteries do you need this year?

Oh my goodness, I totally remember the Christmas that I got Nintendo with Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt too. Some good memories! There is nothing worse than when Santa forgets the batteries, this is an awesome reminder!

Hubby and I counted while wrapping the other night and we pretty much need about twelve AA, AAA's, and six C's & D's! WOW! I definitely need to go shopping, lol

I always include batteries with any battery operated gift. It's just cruel not too.

I remember how excited I was the birthday I received my Sony Discman. ♥ I was sixteen, and it was the best present since the One10 camera I got for my twelfth!

I fondly remember receiving my first Sony Discman along with a Spice Girls CD. I'm now bit of a hipster when it comes to music, but I'll admit that I still listen to them once in a blue moon when no else is around. ~lol~ As for Duracell, they're the only brand of batteries that I will buy!

Having been a child I know to include batteries when I give a toy as a gift. We love Duracell, they seem to last longer then others.

We try to remember when getting gifts for my nephews to look at battery requirements. Its crazy how many things require batteries these days.
