I love the hope a new year brings. Epecially when it’s the hope of winning Walt Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful Road to the Emerald City Sweepstakes !
Is anyone as excited about Oz The Great and Powerful as I am? Probably not!
I got even more excited on Monday when Disney announced that they were getting ready to launch the Road to the Emerald City Sweepstakes and an Instant Win game on December 31st in support of Oz The Great and Powerful, which opens in U.S. theaters on March 8, 2013.
Of course I have been playing every single day, and there is still a lot of time for you to play too, because this fun Disney promotion runs through January 31, 2013, and there is a Grand Prize as well as Instant Win Prizes, so we all have a chance to win!
Inspired by the wizard’s journey, the Road to the Emerald City Sweepstakes invites fans to tweet out their New Year’s resolutions, using #DisneyOz, for a chance to win the grand prize.
What’s the grand prize?
Oh, just a 4-day/3-night trip for two to Seattle, Washington!
You can visit the official Oz The Great and Powerful Facebook page here to watch the tweets pave the way to the Emerald City and click on select bricks to instantly win prizes, including $100 gift cards for HSN (Home Shopping Network), $50 Visa cards, $10 Starbucks gift cards, copies of the L. Frank Baum Book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz signed movie posters, and other Oz The Great and Powerful products.

About Oz The Great and Powerful
Disney’s fantastical adventure Oz The Great and Powerful, directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character.
When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot – fame and fortune are his for the taking – that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting.
Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late.
Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity – and even a bit of wizardry – Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.
