When I was a little girl, I remember coming across a Disney book that retold the story of the Prince and the Pauper, starring Mickey Mouse. I realized quickly that many of my favorite stories were even better when they involved my favorite mouse!
The most recent retelling of a classic tale is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s The Wizard Of Dizz, which is a Disney version of the classic Wizard of Oz tale! I received a copy to review, courtesy of Disney.
I’m a 35 year old woman and I even loved this adorable little story!
About Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s The Wizard Of Dizz
Join your favorite Disney characters as they embark on a journey to an enchanting land full of surprises! Just like in the classic Wizard of Oz, you’ll find magic and wonder at every turn – only with more mouse. Ha ha!
What I liked about Minnie’s The Wizard Of Dizz is that it had a similar story but it wasn’t scary at all, so kids of all ages can enjoy it! There’s a pink tornado that sends Minnie and Pluto into the silly land of Dizz, a crazy fun place filled with rainbow trees, butterfly bows, and friendly “Chipmunchkins.”
Of course, even when it comes to Disney stories, there’s no place quite like home! Minnie bands together with Scarecrow Goofy, Mickey the Tin Mouse, and Donald the Lion on an epic journey to find the Wonderful Wizard of Dizz to see if they can make their dreams come true.
While it’s not actually scary, there is a bad witch named Pete who wants Minnie’s magical, sparkly green shoes for himself and he’s a tricky little guy! But I won’t spoil the ending for you, you’ll have to watch it to find out how it ends!
Check out this Mickey the Tin Mouse clip for an idea of the cuteness that awaits you!
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s The Wizard Of Dizz is 101 minutes long, a full feature movie, and there’s two extra episodes: “The Golden House” And “Goofy’s Gone.”
There’s also 10 Minnie’s Bow Tunes and a free download of Minnie’s Bow Maker digital app, which is extra fun for the kids!
You can print out these super fun games and activities for the kids to play long with watching the movie. I know that will summer here, you need all of the fun activities you can get for the kids, and these printables are free!
