While Windows 8 has taken some getting used to, I find myself liking it more and more every day!
As you might know from previous posts, I am going to be taking a press trip to Europe next month. NEXT MONTH!!! Eek!! As my plans are shaping up, I have to start planning my extra time in Italy, for which I will be responsible for arranging all of my travel arrangements and expenses.
I will be staying in Italy for about four days after my Mediterranean cruise on the new Carnival Sunshine cruise ship ends, and while I am a pro at travel arrangements, I am not experienced in anything overseas! This opens up a whole new area of travel for me, and I have had to start doing a lot of research to figure out which hotels to book, what areas are most convenient for travelers and whether or not I want to book tours or just wake up each morning and go out to explore the cities around me.
I was happy to see that my Windows 8 tablet has a great Bing travel app with hotel and airfare search functions, articles on travel destinations and everything else I need to coordinate my plans! Because I can do it all from my Windows 8 tablet, do you know what that means? I can do it all while lounging on the couch watching a movie with the family, or while laying in bed while Chris is playing a video game. Ah…so convenient!
Those of you using Android tablets, guess what? You are going to be able to use the same awesome Intel technology that makes my Windows 8 tablet so handy!
Intel will begin powering Android-based tablets this April! This means that Intel processors will no longer be limited to Windows 8; Android tablets will now also have Intel inside!
How awesome is that?
I wrote this post while participating in the #TabletCrew with Social Chorus. I received a Windows 8 tablet, though all opinions are my own!
