My #LifeIngredients Are Family, Food & Fun…and Alpine Lace Deli Cheese!

Alpine Lace® Deli Cheese has sponsored today’s conversation, but these #LifeIngredients are all my own!

One of my favorite quotes has always been, “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” by Mae West. It’s a simple but incredibly powerful statement, and one that has resonated deeply with me. The stories that I share on this blog and through my social media channels might make it seem that my life is all fun, travel and more fun…but y’all don’t really see all the work that happens behind the scenes to make that fun possible!

Chris works full time in IT for the military, and while he loves his job and it pays very well, it’s stressful nonetheless. As a work from home mom, my workday typically begins at 6:30 am, when I get up with Angeline to take her to school. I sit down to start working by 7 am, and until Chris gets home around 5 pm, I am busy writing blog posts, editing photos, doing social media promotion, taking care of three dogs and three cats, cleaning the house, doing laundry, handling our finances, running errands…by the time my official workday ends, I am completely physically and mentally exhausted – but all that hard work means that we are earning the money that allows us to do all of the fun things that make us happy!

Things like traveling with friends, going out to nice dinners every once in a while, sending Angeline on school field trips, summer vacations and as happened this weekend, buying Chris a new car.

As we are approaching the big 40 (don’t worry, we still have a few years), I think that we’ve finally achieved the perfect work-life balance. We live a life that is full of hard work, but we make sure that the work we do makes us happy – and that makes the time we carve out for FUN and ADVENTURE even happier!

The secret to navigating adventure in life is staying both physically and mentally fueled. We feed our minds with the things that make us happy, and we make sure that we keep our bodies fueled with quality foods that make us feel good. It’s impossible to get through a day, whether it’s filled with work or play, if you don’t eat properly! Alpine Lace® Deli Cheese is a high-quality, wholesome, satisfying cheese that can help fuel your day, whether it’s one you spend sitting at your desk getting work done, or a day filled with fun that you’re able to enjoy because of all that hard work!

Alpine Lace Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese #LifeIngredients #ad

While we do indulge in sweets and junk food every now and then, I try to stock our fridge with healthy foods that are not only delicious, but provide our bodies with the fuel we need to get through the day. A quick lunch of a turkey roll-up with Alpine Lace® Deli Cheese and a mandarin orange not only fills me up while I’m working on blog posts and participating in conference calls, but it gives me the energy I need to get through the day!

The Alpine Lace® Deli Cheese is available in prepackaged slices, or you can have the deli counter slice it fresh for you! I found it in the deli area at my local Walmart SuperCenter, but it is also available at ShopRite, Big Y, Giant, Stop & Shop, Martins, Acme, A&P, BJ’s and any Walmart with a deli.

Whether it’s just a quick slice of cheese to nibble on while on a phone call, or on top of a hearty sandwich on a Saturday afternoon, every slice of reduced fat Alpine Lace® Deli Cheese provides a great source of calcium and protein. Incorporating Alpine Lace® Deli Cheese into your day gives you the energy to prepare you for your next adventure, whether it’s a horseback ride through Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas…

We go through a lot of cheese in our house, but I don’t think we have ever tried Alpine Lace. I will have to look for it the next time I am at the store.

So funny that you’re talking about cheese and snacks like this today! I mad myself ham and cheese rollups for dinner tonight, as I’m on my way from one theatre rehearsal to another during a double tech week. Protein rules!

You know, I don’t think I have ever tried their cheese before. Ironically, cheese is one of our favorite snacks when we are on our summer camping trips. We keep it in the cooler, and it is great for boosting energy after a long hike.

You are obviously fueling your body the right way, as you don’t look like you could have a teenage daughter! In the picture of you and her, you look like an older sister!! I haven’t tried Alpine Lace chess, but it looks very appetizing. I’m going to look for it the next time I go grocery shopping.

I love cheese. When my BF and I travelled Europe a couple years ago, we ate SO much cheese because you can get so many different kinds for so cheap over there! I was just saying the other day we should make a cheeseboard one night soon 🙂 I’ll look for Alpine in my store!

I haven’t tried Alpine Lace but it sounds like a great snack. I can totally relate for having a crazy day as a WFHM. I spend 3 hours a day spending time commuting to schools. A quick snack like the roll-up would be perfect.
