While on Facebook this morning, I saw a friend tagged in this little chart...and it got me to thinking...
So, basically, the ONLY type of marriage that the writers of the Bible frowned upon were same-sex marriages.
Really? Seriously?
It was fine for a man to rape a virgin as long as he married her and paid off her dad...
It was fine for men to have concubines, which were basically just sex slaves...or multiple wives...
It was fine to force a women to marry her brother-in-law if her husband died...
But two men can't fall in love and get married?
Huh.
Whatever your religious beliefs, I expect most people aren't comfortable with the idea that God supports rape and multiple sex partners.
One of the biggest arguments against homosexuality and gay marriage is that it is seen as "perverse" by God.
How about 300 sex slaves/concubines?
Um, how about rape?

This chart is awesome. Thank you for posting this. It's such great proof that using the Bible to condemn another is not what it's all about.

God didn't allowed any of this marriages without and consequences and conflicts but due to the selfishness of men it ended in these weird marriages.

Interesting point of view - thank you for sharing what God allowed men to get away with!
