This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Rums of Puerto Rico . All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s Rum Time! Have you ever heard the saying, “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere?” Well, you’ll be looking forward to happy hour with extra anticipation after checking out the new web video series created through a partnership between Rums of Puerto Rico and HISTORY.COM! Rum Times is an educational and inspirational web series that explores world history through the eyes of Puerto Rico rum. The Rum Times series is presented through the angle that since Puerto Rico has been creating my favorite spirit for more than 450 years, it has probably been at most historical events throughout history.

I mean, can you imagine a time before mojitos? I can’t. I don’t want to.

Rum Times imagines behind-the-scenes parties and celebrations of important achievements such as the quest for electric light, the development of motion pictures, and the invention of sports. It’s an exciting way experience Puerto Rico and its unique rum like you never have before…unless of course, you have a time machine.

Did you know that the lovely country of Puerto Rico has been distilling rum for over 450 years? Puerto Rico is the Rum Capital of the World!

It is so easy to access the Rum Times, and you’ll learn more than you could ever imagine! I’ve learned so much that I am confident that I will now be drinking the best rum ever, and I am pretty sure that once you watch Rum Times, you’ll be chanting It’s Rum Time too!

The first episode of Rum Times explores the quest for electric light and historical features, including important historical figures like Thomas Alva Edison and Nikola Tesla!

Visit www.itsrumtime.com and then come back here and tell me what you think about this exciting new series exploring Puerto Rican Rum! Did you learn anything? Did it inspire you to drink higher quality rum?

I got very, absurdly drunk on rum once and swore it off. Maybe some day I will give it another chance, but not today 😉

Well, that was pretty cool! I already know that rum is delicious, but I didn’t know any of the history behind it. Thanks!

What a fun little series! My favorite way to use rum is in a rum cake, with rum glaze on top.

Since I don’t drink alcohol, my rum knowledge is pretty much nonexistent. I have a lot to learn!

My hubby loves mojitos, it’s actually his favorite drink. I can get a little tipsy from the rum since it’s so strong, so I let him do the rum drinking.

I like any drink that has rum. Don’t drink much anymore, but do enjoy a rum mix now and then.

I make Daiquiri’s. I prefer rum to tequila so no margarita’s in this house.

I am Puerto Rican and just started drinking Rum. I always felt it was too strong and flavored for my palate but these days I’m adding it to everything

Oh my gosh. What I wouldn’t do to be on the beach with a mojito. Instead, tomorrow, in record low temperatures and snow…we will be moving. LOL I will need a drink after that!
