It's official...it's back to school time!
Not only are we preparing for Angeline's first day of school on Monday, we are preparing for her first day of high school!
While we were making our back to school shopping list, I laughed at the diversity of the items on her list:
- pens and pencils
- 3 ring binders
- lined paper
- flash drive
- anti-bacterial hand wipes
- hand sanitizer
- pop tarts
- skinny jeans
- "cool" backpack
Parents have so much to deal with as they prepare to get their children in back to school mode. There's the change of sleep schedule, the setting up of school lunch programs, buying back to school supplies, coordinating schedules...
I have a few tips for making back to school easier for everyone - including the kids!
- Slowly build up to children's normal sleep time. One week before school begins, start having the children go to bed 20 minutes earlier each day, and waking up 20 minutes earlier each day. By the time the week is over and school begins, they will be on their new school sleeping schedule!
- Go to a one-stop shopping center for all of your back to school needs. We personally love Walmart for back to school shopping because we can buy school supplies on sale, backpacks, lunch bags, snack foods and things like Wet Ones wipes. You can even pick up quick and easy weeknight dinners while you are buying your school supplies.
- Protect against germs! Now that the kids are going back to school, they are being exposed to who-knows-what kind of germs on a daily basis. We keep Wet Ones antibacterial wipes in Angeline's backpack, as well as antibacterial hand sanitizer to keep germs at bay. With flu season right around the corner, I also make sure that she is taking her daily multi-vitamin to keep her as healthy as possible.
School attendance is so very important in high school - especially since Angeline has all honors and AP classes for her freshmen year. With these advanced classes, so much material is covered on a daily basis that even missing one day can set her behind! Keeping a supply of Wet Ones in her book bag not only helps her feel more tidy and clean throughout the day, but it also helps prevent the spread of colds and the flu, so she is less likely to miss school!
Wet Ones are available in regular and sensitive skin formula, and you can buy them in a tub, travel packs or single packets! The single packets are perfect for sticking in a lunch bag for tidy clean up after lunch, or the travel or single packets are great for putting in your children's backpack to keep germs away while at school. I also love packing the travel packs in my luggage when I am traveling!
You can find out more about Wet Ones Antibacterial wipes on the Wet Ones website!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Wet Ones. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

For the past 3 years I've made sure the girls were prepared for getting up early in the morning after the lazy summer days. Not this year. Tuesday will be such a challenge!

My Nana used to always have Wet Ones handy when I was growing up.
