Running a house is a big responsibility, and it becomes even more of a daunting task when you're the only adult in a home with a messy teenager and cats and dogs...sometimes I don't know who makes the bigger mess, my daughter or our pets! I think it's a pretty even tie, though the cats and dogs do tend to leave more "fingerprints" on the glass in our home than my daughter does! Smudges in the shape of paw prints just don't lie, do they? One of my favorite cleaning products - and one that is most often used around our home - is Windex® Original Glass Cleaner.
My home is very simply decorated, as I have a very minimalist approach to home decor. I prefer open spaces with minimal clutter, and I find that bright colors and lots of glass surfaces are ideal for making my somewhat small-ish home seem bigger and more inviting. I love opening our curtains and allowing all of that beautiful Florida sunshine to fill the room - especially when I am working on food photography for blog posts! One of my favorite things about my home is that there are big windows in every room of the house, which allows for optimal sunlight during the day. A bright and cheery house just makes me happy!
The downside of all of these windows is that the dogs also love those windows, and enjoy barking at the birds on the other side of them - if you have dogs, then you know that they can be quite the drooling fools when their snouts are pressed up against the glass! The cat's aren't much better!
While it's a bother to have to constantly clean the windows in our home, Windex® makes it quick and easy, which is really important when you take into account my busy travel schedule. I make sure to grab a bottle of Windex® each time I am at Walmart (which seems to be almost weekly, because they have pretty much EVERYTHING you could possibly need to run your home), so that I can do a quick spray and wipe when I return home from trips. The cleaner the windows, the more sunlight that streams into the house. Yay!
Don't even get me started on my desk. My desk is mostly made of glass, and like most of the furniture in my home, very minimalist. Gizmo loves to "help" me work when I am home by napping on my desk, which is very sweet and adorable.
What is not very adorable is all of the smudges and dirt she leaves all over my desk! I have a hard time concentrating on work when things are in disarray, so a messy, dirty desk is just absolutely unacceptable. One of the first things I do when I sit down to work every morning is clean off my desk. Who can work with the distraction of cat fur and paw prints all over your work space?
This was after a long weekend of being away - I had to clean the desk before I could even start working last Tuesday morning! Gross! Of course, it was easily remedied with a quick spray of Windex®.
Now I can get to work!
Windex® Original Glass Cleaner is America’s #1 glass cleaner and it's no wonder; it has been the most trusted streak-free cleaner for windows, glass, mirrors, electronics and more for years! You can even use Windex® for other surfaces in your home, such as sealed granite and marble, glass shower doors, chrome bathroom fixtures, Lucite, tile, plastic, vinyl, aluminum, etc.
So what are you waiting for? Streak-free windows and more are just as spray and swipe away with Windex®!

Is there any other window cleaners besides Windex? Oh I think there is that one... the one I tried and had streaks, and then I went back to Windex.. no streaks!
I have to say, the windows in my house are the one thing that constantly get ignored. My son finally cleaned the back door the other day. It was really bad since the kids love to color on the back door with window markers.
