Keep it Fresh with Fresh Step® Lightweight Extreme! #FreshStepCats

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Fresh Step Lightweight Extreme Litter. All opinions are 100% mine.

Life with four cats isn't easy. It's fun, I won't deny that - but easy it is not! Especially since they all somehow became "my" cats...and I am almost entirely responsible for their care.

    And cleaning their litter box.

    I know. Ew.

    Fresh Step Lightweight Extreme
Of course, cleaning the litter box will never be a particularly pleasant experience - especially if you have multiple cats - but if you handle things properly, it doesn't have to be all that bad!

The most important thing to remember when it comes to your litter box is to clean it OFTEN. While you really should scoop the litter box every day (especially if you have more than one cat), you can do it every other day without things getting too bad. I also recommend emptying ALL of the cat litter out of the box once a week and filling it with entirely new cat litter. If you have multiple cats, wash the litter box with bleach every other month to prevent urine from settling into the plastic.

While it may seem like all cat litter is the same, that is definitely not the case! A quality cat litter is to your litter box experience what a quality toilet paper is to your own bathroom experience. Take Fresh Step® Lightweight Extreme cat litter, available at Target, as an example.

Fresh Step® Lightweight Extreme is 30% lighter, so it's easier to lift the box, and it's easier to pour. No more avoiding the litter box because it's a pain to lug that box of cat litter around! While it is lighter, it still does an awesome job of providing odor control and is still extremely absorbent and clumps like a champ!

Fresh Step® Lightweight Extreme actually has the strongest odor control by a lightweight litter, so even if you keep your litter box in a public space - like your home office - you won't be overwhelmed by the smell of a litter box.

We have been using Fresh Step® Lightweight Extreme cat litter for about a week now and the litter box has never been easier to handle! All of the cat's "droppings" are neatly coated and clumped, so scooping it out on a daily basis is a breeze.

I also love that there isn't a huge amount of dust when I refill the litter box, and the cats don't walk out tracking tiny particles of litter (and who knows what else) all over the floor.

So here's a message to my fellow cat ladies - and cat dudes, because I know you're out there! - check out the new Fresh Step® Lightweight Extreme cat litter, available at Target, and take advantage of a neater, fresher litter box! There's even a special display in most Target stores so it's easy to find, and you may even find a special promotion going on to help you save some money!

I have a bad back, so the new lightweight formula is perfect for me. We have two cats and Fresh Step really covers up that odor.

We have 2 cats and thankfully I have not had to clean their litter box in some time. I agree with you that you really do need to use a good quality litter. Fresh Step is the one we have used for years!

When we had cats, that was the worst job ever. Back then we didn't have options like this but it would have been a saviour!

I've been seeing more and more advertising about this litter. We strictly use Fresh Step but the multi-cat variety that's heavy to lift. I need to get some of this stuff pronto!

My boys keep asking for a pet. But I'm certain the pets will become 100% my responsibility, just like yours did. I just don't have the energy right now for one more thing to take care of. 😉 We hope to have a cat down the road, though.

My sister has the fattest cat ever, and she needs a special kind of litter for her special litter box. She is a lovable fat critter, but we have a regime for her box. This might just be it - I will definitely share it.

I have 3 cats myself including one that is very large and weight 26 pounds. Luckily, I have assigned the litter box task to other family members . 🙂 I haven't seen this in Canada, I use Swheat Scoop myself. Cats don't like to change litter, but will if you change it gradually.
