So, you guys know that some of my very favorite things are Travel, Disney and animals, right? Well, prepare to be inundated with SQUEE all over the internet, because I am heading to Orlando April 14-19 as a guest of Disney for the Monkey Kingdom Event!
Can I get a Woo Hoo?
Disneynature's Monkey Kingdom is all about one of my favorite animals....monkeys! Duh!
Life is an adventure for Maya, the clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey in “Monkey Kingdom,” Disneynature’s new feature film set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia. Maya’s world is forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. Like all families, Maya’s has more than its share of colorful personalities—and she’s determined to give her son a leg up on the social ladder. When their longtime home at Castle Rock is taken over by powerful neighboring monkeys, Maya's whole family is forced to relocate, where she uses her street smarts and ingenuity to lead them to untapped resources amidst strange new creatures and unsettling surroundings. Ultimately, they will all have to work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya can hopefully realize her dreams for her son’s future. Featuring a rich cast of characters, including a mischievous mongoose, simple-minded langur monkeys, predatory leopards and monitor lizards, “Monkey Kingdom” is directed by Mark Linfield (“Chimpanzee,” “Earth”) and co-directed by Alastair Fothergill (“Chimpanzee,” “Bears”). With music from award-winning composer Harry Gregson-Williams ("The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," “Shrek” movies), Disneynature’s eighth True Life Adventure—the follow-up to 2014’s “Bears”—swings into theaters April 17, 2015.
While in Orlando, I'll be attending a screening of Disneynature's Monkey Kingdom, which opens in theaters nationwide on April 17th, spend three full days at Walt Disney World celebrating all things Disneynature!
A sneak peek at my itinerary....
I'll be going backstage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to learn how Disney Cast Members tend to the 1,500-plus inhabitants who live there (Angeline is SUPER jealous about this because she is an animal freak and wants to be a Zoologist).
I'm going on a Wilderness Exploration across jungles and into forests on a series of fact-finding challenges - sounds fun, right?!
I'll be joining an Animal Specialist for a deliciously insightful, 4-course lunch at the restaurant Sanaa!
I'm going on the Wanyama Safari Experience aboard a special safari vehicle and travel onto Animal Kingdom's 46 acres of savanna and see more than 200 animals!
I'll visit the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
I'll also interview Disneynature Ambassador Dr. M Sanjayan...
AND I'M GOING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD!
My group of 25 bloggers will be staying at four luxurious All Star Vacation Homes, which are located just a few miles away from Walt Disney World. All Star Vacation homes is expanding their collection of vacation homes and condos to Sanibel & Captiva Island, and San Diego, CA!
Join me through social media while I'm in Orlando by following the #MonkeyKingdomEvent and #AllStarVacationHomes hashtags!
My attendance at the #MonkeyKingdomEvent is complimentary of Walt Disney Pictures and while I am responsible for my own transportation to and from Orlando, all other expenses will be paid for.
