This post was written as part of a paid partnership with Swiffer. All opinions are 100% my own.
You guys right recall that I've been working with Swiffer over the last year, showing ways to use their products, how they make life easier - you know, all the good stuff that makes adulting less gruesome. My girlfriend and I joke around that we wish we could just Swiffer our lives. The products work that well. Okay, maybe slight exaggeration. This is a brand that I've used in my own home for years and years, and I absolutely love being able to share the advancements that Swiffer is making in their products to make our lives easier.
But we really do say that constantly. Usually, it's while I'm using my Swiffer dusters or their super awesome vacuum, which I've just recently learned about!! DID YOU KNOW THAT THERE IS A SWIFFER VACUUM? This thing has all of the benefits of a Swiffer Sweeper but also has a little vacuum built right into it - which is just perfect for our household of two humans and FIVE fur babies.
That attachment on the front is the vacuum portion, and the vacuum compartment is super easy to empty out after use. I've noticed it makes Swiffering the wood laminate flooring and tile in our house much quicker!
I went to New York City in August to attend the Swiffer Immersion Experience - where we learn all about the new innovations concerning Swiffer products, upcoming changes (they're super exciting but top secret for now), and we had a TON of fun finding ways to use Swiffer products in every day situations as well as in new ways.
We went to Carlo's Bake Shop - OMG, right?! I KNOW!!! - and decorated cakes with Swiffer themes. It was a pretty exciting day, despite my almost-full-blown-anxiety-attack because I freak out around camera crews. My cake was super cute, as were everyone else's - but I didn't win.
It's okay. I am still incredibly proud of my "grass" and I even got a really fun photo opp!
The point of this fun day was to show how we used Swiffer to clean up the mess after we all decorated our cakes. As you know, I do a lot of cooking and baking for the blog, so this is something that sincerely applies to my every day life - CLEANING THE KITCHEN!
I'm sure you can find a ton of ways to use Swiffer around your kitchen too, right? Like...have you ever thought about using a Swiffer Duster to dust the top of your fridge? Or your fridge magnets? It's life changing.
A really big change I got to hear about was the new formula Swiffer is introducing in the Wetjet - which is one of my favorite products. Some may have noticed over the years that the Swiffer Wetjet sometimes leaves a residue on wood laminate flooring. Well, guess what? They've been working tirelessly to change that and the products you'll find on shelves are now switched over to the new solution. I am Swiffer Wetjetting the house like mad and couldn't be happier with the results! Angeline even has her own Swiffer Wetjet in her room. She prefers to have her own cleaning supplies...don't ask, teenage girls are weird.
So, I really do love Swiffer. I have been using their products ever since the first Swiffer Sweeper was introduced on the market. I AM A FAN. So much of a fan that I learned a Swiffer dance routine with a new Rockettes.
I DANCED WITH ROCKETTES. It was amazing; such a fun experience and a really silly and cute way to show our love of Swiffer - in this blogger ambassador program, we are referred to as SWIFFER FANATICS, you know. Because we really are!
During this trip, we also stopped by the Good Housekeeping Institute, which was located inside the Hearst Tower and boasted an amazing view of the city! We had a tour through their testing facilities and learned how much effort was really put into them designating that Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.
Did you know that when a product has the Good Housekeeping Seal on it, it’s a guarantee from them? They will literally give you your money back if the item doesn't live up to their promise. Pretty amazing, isn't it?
Oh...and that view? LE SIGH.
Our final stop was a visit to Foster Dogs NYC, which is exactly what it sounds like - a foster dog program. We played with pooches and handed out our big green Swiffer products, which were full of helpful Swiffer products for new pet owners.
The dogs were as friendly and grateful as the owners!
So that's my NYC Swiffer trip in a nutshell. Please stay tuned over the next year to stay informed about all things Swiffer-related!
