I hate complaining about my life because 99% of the time, it’s pretty awesome.
But…sometimes things happen that make me want to plow through an entire chocolate cake, watch a marathon of Supernatural and lose myself in an online game or two.
This past week was one of those times.
It began with my husband finding out that his company was changing his position at work, so he will no longer be traveling each month. While I am incredibly happy about having my husband 100% of the time again, we will be taking a substantial monetary loss, as he will no longer be receiving travel per diem.
Midweek, I began to experience issues with InMotionHosting, the company that hosts my blogs. A few friends and family members were unable to access my blogs, and as it turned out, my hosting company had blocked their IP addresses. My blog traffic took a nosedive and I was completely helpless.
I was becoming quite depressed.
And then on Saturday…
Luna died. Right in front of us.
One minute she was absolutely fine and running around and playing, then her body contorted and she gasped for air and died in Angeline’s arms before we could even get out the door to the vet’s office.
As you might imagine, I was not really capable of doing anything after that happened. Work went on the back burner, laundry was ignored, the dishes sat in the sink…I sat on the couch with my laptop, took a look at the games to Play on FoxyBingo.com, and watched endless hours of television with Angeline, only taking breaks from the sofa to bake a banana hazelnut bread.
I love getting lost in a game like the ones at Foxy Bingo, even just their mascot makes me laugh! Foxy Bingo is the UK’s top online bingo site, and I can see why: you can get up to 200% bonus on your first deposit. That is pretty awesome for a first time bonus!
Sometimes you need to just shut off and veg out to feel better, whether it be by playing games like you find at Foxy Bingo, or re-watching the last season of Supernatural that you still have saved on your DVR…
What do you do when you’re upset and need to relax and unwind?
Oh Jenn, that is a rough week! I’m so sorry.
Um….. chocolate. Coffee.. Pedicures.
So sorry for your loss, Jenn. Especially when it came so sudden like that. TV is my outlet. I don’t get to watch it often, so when I do, it’s a full-on veg session.
What a terrible week! {{{hugs}}} Sadly I turn to comfort food to unwind.
i never unwind, and i’m so sorry about luna, Jenn! What a bad week you are having.
::hugs:: I am so sorry! I unwind with a nap. Naps are wasted on kids!
Jenn, I am so sorry you’ve had such a crappy week. I’m not good at unwinding, but when I do, reading helps. Or listening (maybe dancing) to some good music. *hugs*
I’m sorry. Your week really has been pretty terrible. I eat when I’m depressed. Ugh!
So sorry you are having a bad week.
So sorry for your loss and that you’re having such a crappy week. When I need to unwind, I have a marathon of my all time favorite show (Scrubs) and some ice cream.
You really did get hard this week! And I’m actually on your site! Did you change hosts or is it because I’m on my laptop?
So very sorry about your loss too. 🙁
I’m so sorry about your rotten week. My cat pretty much died like that a couple years ago–just fine then she just dropped. I’m still upset about it, she had been my pet for 15 years.
I eat and drink copious amounts of coffee when I am upset.
Oh man, so sorry to hear about Luna. That is awful 🙁
I do all kinds of stuff!, like eat my favorite foods, and read all of my favorite blogger posts!! 🙂
Unwind? What is that? Honestly, there is not much unwinding around here, but I would still love some of that please!
Yes this has been a bad week. It’s okay to complain but I usually don’t because I’m stuffing my face.
Aw man you did have a tough week. I am so sorry you had to deal with all that.
