How Do Moms Keep Up When They're Sick?

It never fails; whenever my schedule is incredibly full of assignments, appointments and family obligations, I get sick.

For instance, here is what this week looked like: I had 5 blog articles due by the weekend, a doctor's appointment, an appointment at the vet, dinner plans with a friend, a birthday party, and a flight out of state to cover a press event for a friend...in addition to us being in the middle of re-flooring and painting Angeline's bedroom and my usual cooking and cleaning.

In the middle of all of this, I came down with a head cold. Well, of course I did! It was just a little reminder from Murphy's Law that if something can go wrong, it most definitely will!

Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about getting sick, and time doesn't stop just because I am under the weather (wouldn't it be awesome if it did?!). I have to keep plugging along and figure out how to get through until I am over this head cold.

Of course that's easier said than done.

One way I am able to keep up with what must be done is to get plenty of sleep, stay hydrated by drinking lots of water, and taking over the counter medication, such as Mucinex® Sinus-Max™ Pressure & Pain. It is the only way to keep functioning while dealing with the horrible sinus pressure, congestion and headache.

While I am waiting to get over my illness, I can still do the basics like working on my blog, running necessary errands and attending any events that I am obligated to. I try to give myself a break so that the medicine can work its magic, and I let some things slide. The dogs run around outside instead of being walked, I ask my husband to do the laundry, and he and my daughter fend for themselves for dinner. Taking time to rest is so important when you're feeling under the weather!

When I am ill, I normally try to slow down on my commitments, and decline party invitations - and I never consider traveling when ill. However, I already have obligations this weekend and cancelling is not an option. Thankfully, Mucinex® Sinus-Max™ makes me feel well enough that I can attend my events, travel, mingle with bloggers and actually have a good time!

Balancing a hectic schedule is hard enough. Trying to keep it together when you're under the weather requires additional help. Maximum Strength* Mucinex® Sinus-Max™ Pressure & Pain triple action formula fights mucus, congestion, sinus pressure and headache/pain.  With cold and flu season in full force, I am relieved to know that even my worst symptoms can’t derail my plans.

We just keep trucking while sick! We are the corner stone of the family, and have to keep things moving. Meanwhile my husband is sick and he gets to lay in bed and sleep... while moaning and groaning. I wish I got that luxury!
