I was given a huge opportunity to read the ARC of Hallows Haven by Melissa Brodsky. Let me tell you I loved it! I haven't read a book that brought me back to the magical world of wizards and wands since Harry Potter.
We meet Gwen at the age of 16 which signifies her coming into her own powers. This of course is the catalis that changes her world. She has to leave our world of Drivels (that's us mortals non Magicks's) to the realm of Hallows Haven. Here she will learn to use her new powers and learn of her dark heritage. She isn't alone in this journey she is accompanied by her grandmother a fairy and her grandfather Merlin yeah the most famous wizard of all time!
Now moving as we all know comes with some adjustments especially for teenagers. Multiply that by moving to a magical world, learning about your powers and things you have no understanding of, well you gotta feel for the girl... Right? Gwen is adapting as best as she can, better than most because I would have fallen apart. She makes friends and a love interest! Yeah young love always my favorite!!!
This book gives us twists, turns and frightfully scary moments. I gotta tell you you will regret it if you don't read this because I am eagerly awaiting part 2! I have to know what happens next and so will you.
Hallows Haven by Melissa Brodsky and Nicole Madison is now available on Amazon, Nook, Smashwords and Kobo!

I'm almost embarrassed to say, I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books and I've only seen one of the movies. I need to get caught up with the genre.
