Every once in a while, Angeline will ask for something that I just don't want to give her. She's kind of a spoiled kid, to a certain extent, but there are some products that I know better than to waste my money on, ya know what I mean? The only thing she wanted for Christmas this year was a set of on-the-ear headphones by a certain hip hop mogul...but when I researched them on Amazon, there were so many bad reviews that I told her it just wasn't happening. I can't see spending that much money on something that so many say break easily! Not long after I broke the news, I was approached about reviewing a set of Sol Republic TRACKS AIR on-ear wireless headphones, which were exactly like the ones she wanted. The only difference was that I didn't find a litany of complains about shoddy construction when I went online to check them out!
So I said yes. Duh! Since Angeline doesn't really know a lot about technology, I asked Chris to set them up and test them out for me, as he knows a lot more about technology and gadgets than she does!
About Sol Republic TRACKS AIR on-ear wireless headphones by Motorola
The TRACKS AIR on-ear wireless headphones are the first wireless headphones developed with Motorola. Tracks Air gives you superior wireless sound unchained combining stellar sound, unmatched 150-foot wireless range, dual-device connectivity and an unbelievable 15-hour battery life! Tracks AIR provides on-the-go convenience that active music lovers will celebrate - perfect for holiday travel season. See more outdoor stuff here!
Headphones are generally a pretty simple product with a basic concept: you put them on your ears and use them to listen to music.
What makes Sol Republic TRACKS Air Wireless headphones special is first of all, they are wireless, which isn't very common in the headphones market. Secondly, they are so easy to set up!
The EasyPair Method
Chris turned on the Bluetooth on his iPhone and pushed the little button on the TRACKS AIR headphones and it automatically went into pairing mode. He then "connected" on his iPhone under the Bluetooth settings and it synced up.
There is also an option to use the NFC Bluetooth method, but...we had no idea what that was, so I am assuming Chris doesn't have a NFC Bluetooth-enabled device.
If you prefer to wear your TRACKS AIR headphones with a wire, you can totally do that too. The Sol Republic TRACKS AIR headphones come with a cable to connect to your device, should you want to rock it old school.
You'll also get a nice nylon pouch to store your TRACKS AIR headphones, as well as a USB charging cable to keep them charged up. I charged them over the weekend and they're still going strong almost a week later because we aren't using them except to test them out. They do say that they can keep a charge for up to 15 hours, so I imagine these will be especially handy on road trips and long flights, when there isn't an outlet handy!
The Sol Republic TRACKS AIR on-the-ear wireless headphones retail for $199.99 on SolRepublic.com and are available in gunmetal (that's the color we have) and ice white.
Additional Features
SONICSOFT™ Speaker Pads - they really are soft and super comfortable on your years!
Multi-device connectivity - you can connect more than one device to listen to even more music!
A2 Sound Engine - TRACKS AIR wireless headphones are powered by a larger digital amplifier so that you don't sacrifice sound for the convenience of a wireless headphone! Chris even remarked on how clear the sound was, and he isn't easily impressed!
Interchangeable headbands - you can switch out the headbands on these headphones! The ear muffs slide off on and on pretty easily.
1 Year Warranty
If $199.99 is out of your budget, you can also check out the TRACKS on-ear headphones. Priced at $99, they're a great wired option!
Oh and...Sol Republic is offering FREE SHIPPING on the TRACKS AIR wireless headphones, with guaranteed delivery before Christmas if you don't wait too long to place your order!

This sounds like the perfect gift for my husband. He is so hard to buy for.

Why is it that men are so hard to buy for? My husband liked them so much after trying them out for our daughter that now he wants me to buy him a pair 🙂
