This post and giveaway are sponsored by XFINITY, however, all opinions are my own.
We all know that XFINITY internet is fast, but now it's going to be even faster. XFINITY is introducing Gigabit Pro, a new residential internet service delivering speeds of at least twice what any current competing service provider can give customers. While this speed wont' be available to all customers yet, Gigabit Pro is an example of how XFINITY stays at the forefront of providing fast, powerful internet to is customers.
Gigabit Pro - The Future is Now
While non of us necessarily need 2 gigs per second of speed now, in the future we will. And even if we don't really need it, it's nice to be able to download any and everything with astronomical speed. XFINITY's introduction of Gigabit Pro lays the groundwork for all of us enjoy speeds that we've only dreamed about.
Imagine downloading mulitmedia files in 60 seconds, HD movies in 20 seconds, and full music albums in less than a second. Less. Than. A. SECOND. That's flat out amazing, and I'm not surprised that XFINITY is at the cutting edge of this technology. They've increased their speeds 15 times over the past 13 years. They are dedicated to the future of internet technology, and it shows.
The initial roll out of Gigabit Pro will be in Atlanta, California, Chattanooga, Chicago, Colorado, Houston, Knoxville, Miami, NW Indiana, Portland, the Twin Cities, Utah, and Washington state. Gigabit Pro will be available to around 18 million homes by the end of the year, and I'll be one of them! Yay!
Why Gigabit Pro Excites Me
Do I NEED 2 gigabits per second internet speed? Not really. HOWEVER, I didn't NEED my smartphone either... Until I DID! I remember the days when texting was considered the next big thing in technology, and I didn't think it would ever get better than that. Suddenly, I could talk to people no matter where I was without being that rude person on the phone. It was amazing.
Now I live through my smart phone. With Twitter, Facebook, my XFINITY TV app, and more, I'm attached to my phone at the hip. Did I ever think I'd be so attached to a phone? Absolutely not, but now that the technology is here, I'm all over it. Every time a new smartphone rolls out, I look at the specs to see if it's better than what I have right now. I'm a smartphone nut.
That's exactly the idea behind XFINITY's roll out of Gigabit Pro. It's brand new now, but one day, I'll wonder how I ever lived without it. The prospect of less time spent on downloading and this new internet technology in general is just amazing. The future is now, people!

I would have to say an iPhone changed my life. I was able to keep so much data with me in my pocket. Don't need a planner, calendar, calculator, photos, notepad or other things in my purse anymore. Having the internet so available is also too. It's helped me become more organized. Is that sad? lol

The smart phone really changed my life. I'm a small business owner and is out of my office a lot. The ability to stay connected while away from my office has really helped me to stay connected. I no longer have to wait until i get back to the office in order to respond to emails, this saves me a lot of time.

I had a severe back injury several years ago, requiring 5 back surgeries & being bedridden for almost two years at the um...tender age of 42. If it hadn't been for my smartphone, there is no way I could've kept up-to-date on current affairs, family, photos, doctors appointments, etc. As corny as it sounds, it gave me a part of my life back.
