Some days you sit down to begin working and you just need a warm mug of coffee, full of sugar and candy-flavored creamer. I find that those days happen more frequently when it’s 65 degrees out (that’s our winter here in Miami) and rainy and I have a to-do list a mile long. Those gloomy days leave me craving comfort foods, but sometimes a Gevalia K-cup single serve coffee and a donut does the trick too!

I took a quick trip down to our local WalMart and picked up a box of Gevalia single serve K-cups to get me through the week before my big trip to Kissimmee.

Who has time to go to a coffee house every day when they’re busy work-at-home moms? I barely have time to do everything I need to in my day, so making my own Gevalia coffee is a great way to save time and still enjoy a delicious cup of coffee while I work.

I love the Colombian roast because the flavor is intense enough that it still tastes like coffee when I am done adding my ice and creamers.

I settle in with my agenda and my coffee and it’s like having a morning coffee break in an office job!

I normally drink my coffee iced, or I make a homemade frappe-style coffee house drink in the blender. It’s so much cheaper than heading down to the coffee house, and I can make any kind I want when I start with a Gevalia K-cup!

How do you start your day? I find that I am so much more productive when I take a few minutes to sit and relax with my Gevalia K-cup coffee and plan my day. It’s so nice to start out the day with a game plan and a little me time, don’t you think?

My homemade frappe is really simple using Gevalia K-cup single serve coffee – you can use any flavor, but I prefer the Colombian roast because it’s bold but not too strong.

To make this Gevalia K-Cup Frappe, you just need one Gevalia Colombian roast K-cup, 1/4 cup fat free milk and 1/4 cup of your favorite creamer with a cup of ice. Brew the Gevalia K-cup for the 4 ounce serving, then pour into your blender with the milk and creamer to cool it down before adding your ice. Pulse for one minute and then pour into a glass and top with whipped cream if you like!

I’d love to hear how you like to drink your own Gevalia K-cup coffees, let me know in the comments if you have a special morning routine involving your coffee!

My Chris isn’t a coffee (or tea) drinker, so single serve makers are perfect for me. I don’t have this brand, but it looks like they have lots of awesome coffees available for it, so I may have to add one to my Mother’s Day list 🙂

I remember when you could only get Gevalia delivered to your home or office. It is nice to see that it is now readily accessible.

I would be far too lazy to go out and get a cup so brewing at home is the way to go. Great way to wake up!

I didn’t know that Gevalia made single servings for the Keriug. I need to get some of these for my Hubs… they would be great for Valentines.

What a coincidence. Really. I just made a cup of this and it’s right next to me.
Gevalia has a coffee club that I used to belong to (just because the Amaretto Coffee Blend was SO good) but these days I am all about the Keurig, so I pick them up in the grocery store. Doesn’t hurt either that there’s a $1 off coupon in most boxes I get now a days too. 🙂

Is that an Entermann’s doughnut? If it is you have some great taste because they are some of the most awesome doughnuts ever. As to the coffee, my husband tried the Gevalia Sing Serve coffee’s in two flavors and he really enjoyed them. We make sure to always keep a box on our coffee service for when he’s wanting a more rich roast 🙂

I started buying Gevalia delivered-to-the-house coffee when I was in high school and loved it. I was thrilled when they started making it available to buy at the store, it’s so much more convenient than trying to remember to order before I run out!
